Discovery Place Kids-Huntersville is a children's museum located in Huntersville, North Carolina. It offers interactive exhibits and live shows designed to engage young minds in learning through play. The museum features themed areas focused on healthy habits, natural sciences, and creative spaces. Children can explore various career ideas, participate in hands-on activities like building with blocks and Legos, and even experience being part of a show at Town Center.
We recently visited Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville, and it was such a wonderful experience for my toddler! The space is designed to spark curiosity and offer hands-on experiences for children of different ages, which is perfect for young ones who love to explore and engage with their surroundings. The exhibits are so interactive, and there’s truly something for every age. My toddler especially enjoyed the water play area, where they could splash around while learning basic concepts of science and motion. The themed areas, like the mini-town and market, gave them a chance to engage in imaginative play, while developing social and problem-solving skills. What I loved most was how developmentally appropriate everything was, catering to different stages of learning. My toddler was able to safely explore and learn at their own pace, and I could see their confidence growing as they tried new things.

Went here with my sister and her kids. We had a great time here and I loved watching the kids enjoy themselves. There is so much to do and it's all so educational. I loved the little Cafe area. The rock wall was also a favorite. The underwater room was super cool. The upstairs portion has things they can build and race. I loved experiencing the smaller scale Discovery Place that was truly geared towards educational fun! I would definitely recommend going here and taking your children. You'll enjoy it just as much as them. They also have a program where if you get food stamps you can get in for less than $5 a person! It's something different than the park you always go to and like I said...educational. The kids loved the water area as well. Perfect for a cheap fun rainy day activity!!

We definately enjoyed this place very much. My 8 year old was having trouble finding some things she thoroughly enjoyed at first because there are alot of things geared towards younger kids but she ended up finding plenty. There is a wonderful craft room with plenty of odds and ends to create and craft things from your imagination for taking home. There is a cute workout area with a mini rock climbing wall and pretend exercise equipment, there's a bank, a grocery store, a little farm area, a race car, a boat and plane, think tank areas, and so much more. Your kid could definately spend hours here just trying everything. There are also schedule events that take place that we didn't get to enjoy but sounded cute. There is a main stage that they can dress up and play at but they also hold storyline there, other spots have a puppet show or science creations so make sure to check out their website for that. Tickets are $3 cheaper online and check dates as we seemed to have gone on a super busy day when there were campers there as well. It was a Tuesday and super busy

Good place to take the kids for fun. A little pricey for what they offer especially that that many exhibits/experiences are defect/not functioning. The sound at the show (dental show - book reading) was too loud and not clear. Not very clean and not well maintained. Pretty hot inside.

Second visit. The youngsters working there were playing more than working in some casesSome of the exhibits need to be maintained better. For instance, the costumes behind the stage, the water area and the areas where there are things to play with that are no longer thereNevertheless, is a great place for the kids and they loved it.Would go back again

Awesome place located downtown Huntersville. Reminded me of wanna do city in south Florida.. many different jobs and kids just be kids. The price for it was cheap also. They even have an arts and crafts section even puppet time. Well done great way for kids to use their imagination

Just a wonderful place to bring your kiddos. Full of montessori style toys and curated play stations. It truly feels like a place your child can be immersed in their own little world. Everything is as baby/ toddler proofed as could be, and the upper levels have very secure railings. Please do stay with your child as the rule here is any child under 18 must have an adult supervising.

This place is incredible!! We came in early on a Friday and it was perfect for the kids. Plenty to do across all ages. I do recommend bringing extra socks if they go playing in the water section. We were there for 2 hours and had a blast. Strongly recommend for young families.

My daughter and I took my 1.5 year old grandson and my 3 yr old granson to Discovery Place on Sunday afternoon. I had not been there before and was amazed at how well organized it was and how many activities there were for all ages of children. There is an age appropriate area for little ones though 2 yrs old and various play centers for all ages. There was a grocery store area, a firehouse with firetruck, a diner, a racecar, and more. There was a water play area and a large art center. Because we had young children, we only stayed 2 hours but we didn't even see everything. There were employees available to make sure each area was put in order after several children had been through. My daughter bought a grandparent pass so that my husband and I can take the kids there anytime this year.

My wife has bragged about this place. She loves it for our son. The only downside is it’s very expensive. They charge $14-$18 dollars per person if you don’t have a “membership”. That’s $42-$50 dollars for a family of three for only a day access. It seems as if they’re indirectly forcing people to pay an annual membership and even then only 1 parent and 1 kid you get for free. In my mind, there’s no reason for parents to be charged $14 dollars for a kids museum.

With 3 boys this place has been a great go to, the kids can run in a safe place to explore and burn off energy. Also, great spot for birthdays all 3 of my sons have had at least 1 birthday party there plus been to dozen parties for their friends. Kid friendly and great staff!

Definitely a great place to bring the kids. It's big enough to let a couple hours go by and while they play. It's modular in the fact that every few steps has something new to engage in, whether it's arts and crafts, an aquatic themed room, a fire truck, and a variety of other things. You as the parent might even have fun with a thing or two there.
Exo B — Google review
Ok, so kids love this place. It's a great way to spend an hour or so, especially if weather is bad. My childrens favorite is the grocery store and restaurant that's well put together and well done. A couple caveats: we got there right when it opened and they are cleaning the exhibits. They close them down whilst cleaning. I'm all about germs not being everywhere but just getting in the place and not being able to visit a spot is frustrating for the amount you pay for this place. Perhaps consider cleaning Before opening? 🤔 Also you're not supposed to sit on the cow, lol. Everyone who passes hoists their child up there to sit. A sign may deter this behavior but I guess its just part of our nature to want to sit upon a fake cow. 😅

Seriously the coolest place!!! My kids could've spent all day here!! My almost 2 year old and 5 year old had so much fun!! Lots of stuff to do for both ages. It's definitely pricey (almost $50 for 3 of us). Parking is easy in the parking deck next door. I bought our tickets online. We went on a Friday and got there around 10:30 and had to wait in line to get in. But the kids had a blast and we can't wait to go back!!

Came here on a Saturday after hours for a kids' birthday party. I have never been and didn't really know what to expect. It's basically like a bigger version of a park for kids. They have a big play area, but the stations are more tailored to everyday things. For example, they have a grocery store, a post office, a doctors office, etc...where kids can just play and pretend to be a doctor, a cashier, firemen, etc. They have a water station, which I believe is for sensory play and a state where they do presentations and experiments. Overall, this is a great place for kids 8 and under.

My 6 and 4 year old had a great time here on a Saturday. We've been to other children museums and they voted this one as they're favorite. The museum was clean and easy to navigate. Many activities for young children.
Elizabeth A — Google review
This was SO FUN. It's basically an open-concept play area with lots of different stations. It's set up like a toddler-sized town, so your child can go to the grocery store, the vet, the mechanic, or the gym, plus lots of other stuff. The water tables have a section with high chairs for kids who are too little to stand on their own, so everyone is included. The "Town Hall" is a little stage where the staff put on science shows for the kids. Everything is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are really good about getting each set out back neatly between waves of children. Prices are great too if you buy online. We had a great time with our 2 year old and can't wait to come back.

We were there on Saturday, December 28th at 8:30. Ahead of the crowd gave us time to look around and let the kids try everything. Big disappointment as many things are not working, missing or broken. For example: submarine switches not working, lights missing, etc; cafe looks good but doors fell off the bakery case; tracks upstairs were broken and had nothing to use on them; brick dump needed two adults to tip it enough to dump the bricks. I can go on but why is this allowed to continue? Staff was either in the break room or wandering around aimlessly, do some maintaining of the equipment. The only highlight was the craft area, well stocked and organized. Congrats. I don’t care what you charge but everything should be perfect for people coming to your business. Please do better.

Frank Liske Park is a popular recreational area in Concord, NC that offers picnic pavilions, athletic fields, mini-golf and a boating lake for fishing. The park also boasts of a nature playground with unique play structures such as giant worm balance beams and honeycomb climbing structures. Visitors can also explore wooded areas but need to be cautious of poison ivy. Overall, Frank Liske Park provides an excellent outdoor experience for families looking to have fun under the sun.
Nice park in Concord, NC. They have everything you need here. Golf course, soccer fields, volleyball fields, places to cookout, trails, a pond or lake, ducks, you can go paddling in the water with their paddle boats. Lots to do. I think this is the largest park in Concord, NC or one of the largest. I’m not sure. But it is really nice.

It's a nice park, long trails for walking. There's a lake in the middle of the park. I enjoy seating here and looking at ducks and geese. There are a lot of squirrels. Also you can find places for barbecue and sport areas as well. You can spend a lovely day with your family there.

Frank Linke Park is perfect for family gatherings and events of any size. It offers several outdoor shelters and an indoor barn with lower and upper halls that require advance reservations. Numerous picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The park also features volleyball courts, soccer fields, tennis courts, children's play areas, and restrooms. Additionally, there's a pond for pedal boating and fishing, along with many nature trails for walking. Park entrance is free.

Beautiful park; well kept & maintained. There's a lake & I think I saw paddle boats too. Plenty if shelters to use to hang out or for cookouts. Playgrounds for the kids, baseball fields, a mini sandbox for a game of volleyball, and even some holes to golf. The park is big enough that even when it seems full (i.e. a lot of people) everything is spaced out enough that you're not on top of each other! I don't live on this side of town and not really the type to go to parks: however, I'll definitely come back to this one.

Wonderful park for everything. Have played weeks worth of Pickleball at this park and never been disappointed. Also played softball here for a season and nothing to complain about there, other than my team! The disc golf course is challenging but very fun and I’ve done alright there. Definitely one of the best parks around!

Very nice park. I usually walk the 2 mile track (which is partially covered with trees - great for the summer heat)! The grounds are very well maintained all year around - if you’re looking for a shorter walk, there’s a nice (gravel) path around the lake!I haven’t tried the pedal boats or rental canoes yet, but that is something I may do the next time I have visitors!Would recommend!

Took my dog and my boyfriend’s dog to meet for the first time and it was a very good day. They got along and became best friends.I’ve been to a lot of parks and this quickly became my favorite. The hiking trail around the park is clean and spacious with a lot of workout benches around. They have a big area for disc golf and they’re building a mini golf there. Great place for picnic, renting paddle boats, cookouts… the list goes on.10/10 🌟

We live less than a mile from this park so we are here quite often… It is fantastic! Wonderful walking trails, dog friendly, multiple playgrounds and family shelter/picnic facilities throughout, a lake with paddle boats, a massive soccer/softball complex, mini golf, disc golf course… The list goes on. The park is well-maintained and the restrooms are always clean and in good order. Highly recommended.

The facilities and fields are really great. On a normal day without tournaments, I bet the park is wonderful for locals. So much to do.However, the traffic pattern at this place is horrendous. You should allow an additional 30 minutes to get into and out of this park. Honestly, it’s hazardous. If there was an emergency, how would help get in/out?To top it all off, if you’re the first game of the day, be prepared to sit out on the main road for an additional 30 mins while they remember to raise the gate.

We love Franke Liske Park. So many fun things to do. Playing, hiking, fishing, feeding the ducks. We are especially looking forward to the new mini-golf course. The class enjoyed creek stomping and learning about some reptiles and turtles.

I go here often with my dog to take walks. There is a water area where you can rent paddle boats or kayaks. It's a small area good for a quick ride. Lots of trails down in the woods. Great place to run or walk. There are also some playgrounds for young kids and lots of pavilions.
Connie K — Google review
Ran two loops around the outer trail, used the pristine facilities, and then played the disc golf course. The grounds are huge and immaculately maintained. The wide trail had punchy climbs and stayed mostly in the shade, going by the creek and lake and right back to the parking. The disc golf course has a couple of wooded holes, but a lot of wide open 650 ft par 4s that are birdie-able, but not easy (as well as some 400+ ft par 3s where par was a challenge).

We had a birthday party for my two year old twin grandsons on Saturday. The park was beautiful and the facilities very well maintained. The playground was great for the kids which were ages 1 1/2 to 4. The grass and the lake were beautiful. There were lots of people there, but it did not seem crowded at all. I highly recommend a day in the park for anyone.

This is absolutely an amazing public park. It literally has just about anything you want for recreation. Me, the pickleball courts. Twelve courts, fence dividers, top notch. Been many times, can't think of a time courts weren't available. Today, Sunday, mid morning at minimum 6 were wide open. You definitely need to come out and see everything it offers.

This park is so beautiful and spacious, golf, tennis, volleyball, fishing and paddle boats they even have spaces for rental for different venues. Definitely my happy place to walk, or just sit in the sun 🌞 and meditate! You can also feed the ducks 🦆

Booked the Barn for a wedding and would not recommend for a wedding. When I booked they said they would love to do more weddings since they have the new barn but they will have to change a lot for me to recommend as a wedding spot. They need more hours of operation for weddings, 9-4 is crazy time to get all decorating done and all clean up done. When asked if we can come in before hours they said we can rent again for the previous day. And with renting both floors for $700 , if I could have afforded $1400 venue, I wouldn’t have done the park in the first place. We were told that a park ranger would be present for us when we get there so show us the sound system. Instead I had to push back my ceremony by a half hour as someone ran around the park trying to find a ranger while I called and called and called to no one picking up. In the end it’s a beautiful location I just wish it was better suited for a wedding venue.

High quality aquarium for children! Had awesome sea life and experiences for my 2 year old son. They have a tunnel for an immersive experience as well as many plaques describing the sea life in the tanks. We had a great experience and were able to go through it in roughly 30 minutes to an hour.

We visited while we were in town for the holiday weekend. SeaLife was fantastic and they had a lot of aquatic life. We loved our time there. Unfortunately, we went on the busiest shopping day of the year, so getting out of the parking lot was a nightmare. Would recommend visiting on any other day though.

She is fantastic with people and children! Thank you, my dear, for being so awesome! I love ❤️ the sea turtles. We also collected all the stamps for kids to get the necklace or bracelet at the end. Definitely give this place a try!!!

Not a bad day trip. It's obvious the funds go to protecting the waters and it's inhabitants. For the price I was expecting much more as my expectations were in line with the Aquarium in Corpus Christi. Over it is an enjoyable experience. The exhibits are well done and well. Keep in mind the aquarium is in a mall and for that alone I give it big props. It makes the aquarium available to many more folks. Give them a whirl if you love fish and aquatic life but set expectations accordingly and you will have a ball.

Was a great time for the family and kids! They have quite a lot packed in and some pretty amazing aquatic life. We had a great time, and the costs were not excessive, especially considering it kept us busy for hours. Would absolutely recommend for a family afternoon out if you are looking for something fun and educational for your friends and family.A+

My wife and I went here while we were in the area on our honeymoon. It was fascinating to observe the creatures up close. We developed several favorites. Personally, I enjoyed watching the stingrays, sharks, and the fish that tirelessly dug holes in the sand. The staff, notably Greer, whom we spoke with, was exceptionally helpful, polite, and informative.

Great way to spend a hot summer day. It's not big, and it is geared more for younger kids. There's more for the younger kids to do, so it will draw out the experience. My 15yo and I went on a Sunday morning while visiting family. We took our time looking at the sea life and spent about an hour walking through. It is a nice thing to do with a family, especially in the hot summer.

My husband and I are both in our 20’s without kids and we were pleasantly surprised by this aquarium! They had a good amount of different animals including stingrays, sharks, fish, turtles, and many more. We were able to touch starfish and sea urchins. I enjoyed the turtle rehab section where we could see a turtle who was rescued from the ocean because he was stranded and injured. They had a cool tunnel you could walk through to see the animals as well. This was a great experience for the price!

Started out as a typical aquarium though a pleasant surprise inside a mall. The further in, the more exciting. They have an amazing walk through tunnel where you are underwater and that was amazing. The staff was very pleasant .

Beautiful aquarium! This is a great activity to do with kids! We loved it here! He staff was very nice and took their time to explain everything when we asked. The selection of fish and animals is great and they are beautifully presented in different fish tanks. The highlight is definitely the tunnel through the big fish tank! This is a great place to spend half a day and the mall is just right in front of it for dining or shopping afterwards. HOWEVER, I did not like that you have to buy you ticket from a display/computer and have to provide them with personal information they don't really need, like your email address. I would much rather buy my ticket from a person and NOT get my personal data collected. Also I thought that it was realively expensive... Worth it, but not cheap if you like to take your 5 grandkids over 14years old. I do appreciate though that they support some charity projects. Overall 4 out of 5 stars.

Fun experience for the little ones! It took us a little under an hour to walk through the exhibits, but it’s still a nice little trip. They have a section to color different fish which our daughter really enjoyed and a scavenger hunt to complete while you are walking with a prize at the end!

For being a small aquarium in a mall, they have several fish and even a cute rehabilitation tank that currently is hosting Beasley. It was really cute and had a lot of exhibits in it, surprisingly, including an interactive touch pool. My nephews enjoyed it, smallest barely wanted to leave. I would definitely recommend it for younger kids or people who love sea life in general.

This is the first aquarium that I visited that's in a mall! Yes, that's exactly right! In a mall! I had time to kill before I caught my flight back to Indy, so I went to Sea Life. I had a wonderful time there, and I had time to go to AMC Theaters and see King Kong X Godzilla. I think that is more for kids, but I enjoyed it all the same. I enjoyed seeing all the children's reactions to the different types of sea life that are available.

I think they did an amazing job with the space that they had. It certainly does not look that big from the outside. Some of the staff were friendly. It’s $23 (if i can remember) for adults and $19 for children over the age of 2 😒 . Children under the age of 2 are free. Some of the things to interact with were broken. They let you create your own fish you color / paint it, name it and after you finish you are suppose to be able to send it off to sea but the tv/monitor that you send your fish to was broken/not working. I was honestly looking forward to that but it wasn’t up and they didn’t have an answer for when they would have things back up and running. With everything not working and no idea or information about when it will be back up and running i don’t know if i can recommend it. The least that they could have done was get an answer to our question about when it was going to be back up or at least “try”.

It is bigger than I expected it and they’ve done a great job with this aquarium. Organize, clean, different fishes. Easy to navigate. Pretty good size, not too big or too small. The staff were polite.I went Friday at 12pm and there were only two more families at the time so it was a great experience.Once you buy tickets you can leave and get back inside as many times as you want. At least that’s what they told us on this date.

This place was awesome! Very interactive with touchscreen at every display going into as many or as few details you want. Staff all super friendly

We really enjoyed ourselves here with my 3 year old niece. She enjoyed touching the star fish and seeing the sharks and sea turtle. Definitely recommend. More for children than adults but adults can enjoy themselves as well.

When I saw this aquarium was located in a mall I had low expectations. I could not have been more incorrect. Not only was this location large enough to entertain adults for an hour, but they have an ocean tunnel, in a mall! The facility was well kept, the tanks were all large and not overcrowded, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Plus it was affordable. 10/10 would recommend checking it out while you're in the area. Then you can go shopping in the mall, knowing you're in the same building with fun things like sharks, eels, and jellyfish 💛

Bought our tickets in advance, and it was easy. There is plenty of parking and easy to find. It is attached to Concord Mills Mall. Staff was super friendly and awesome. Plenty of sealife to see and interact with. I highly recommend checking this place out if in the area.

Took a school trip here with my Grandson, first time we visited. The experience was a very good one. My Grandson who's 5 really enjoyed the exhibits. It's a beautiful place, takes about 30-40 mins to go thru and see everything. The staff was really friendly and very helpful.

Had a great time walking around! It's not very big, but everything is well kept and they have plenty for the kids to do

Excellent place which takes about 45 mins to visit. Lovely for both kids and adults. Had halloween touch when we visited it.

Very neat stuff here. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Just wish it was a longer attraction for the money. The kids enjoyed it but I don't see this being a "season pass" type attraction.

The Charlotte Motor Speedway, previously called the Lowe's Motor Speedway, is a renowned NASCAR racetrack located near Charlotte, North Carolina. This 2,000-acre complex features a 1.5-mile quad-oval track where major events like the NASCAR All-Star Race and the Coca-Cola 600 take place. Additionally, it houses the zMAX Dragway for NHRA events.
Things happen very quickly here. The banking is honestly wild and I’ve never felt anything like it, especially if you’re pushing 100mph+ over it. A wonderful track, though - really allows for a crazy amount of speed while maintaining some fun maneuverable sections. I’ve never felt more like Ricky Bobby and that is honestly a very fulfilling experience.
Kasper K — Google review
Very nice and updated track, huge! Seating is bench seating with looonnggg benches, so if you are seated in the middle grab your food and go potty before sitting down, it is nearly impossible to slid back out. Be prepared for the children, this track offers $10 child tickets, so if you are not kid friendly, you may want to skip this one. Otherwise, great food & bars on site, plenty of bathrooms, and handicapped accessibility. Overall a great track!
Marsha S — Google review
Had so much fun! Thankfully they sold earbuds since we forgot to bring ear protection which is a must. Not to mention the nice folks in golf carts bringing guests to and from the parking lot to the speedway was such a nice experience. All around a great time!

I absolutely LOVED this track. It was my first experience with a Nascar event and I enjoyed every moment! It was a bit confusing getting to my seat but the staff was very helpful.Parking was complicated. The people directing traffic sent us to an RV park and we drove in circles for 20 minutes trying to get out. It was 20$ once we found a place to park.As always, I want more vegan options but the atmosphere was decent and the patrons were diverse and kind.
SaBreena L — Google review
The 536 section was an excellent place to watch the race from and you could walk around and experience the V8 majesty from several different places just because you're at the track. The Roval 400 is a treat because you get to see the cars dive into and power out of some excellent corners!Parking was abundant around the track and overall it was a treat to be here.

THEY STOLEN OUR ICE BOX. It turns out that I carried a plastic cooler, measuring 14 inches high by 14 inches wide (small size), COLEMAN brand. They didn't let me bring the cooler into the event for security reasons. So I decided to leave it right next to the ticket booth and at the end of the event I would take it with me. At the end of the event, which was great, I went to look for my cooler and it was in a different place than where I had left it and they wrote the word “SAFETY” on the lid. I waited for security personnel from the event to arrive, and they told me that the cooler was theirs and what the problem was, with a BAD APTITUP (He was defensive). So I told him that they had taken my cooler, but he ignored my statement. So I decided to leave without my cooler. It is a shame that these types of situations occur. I am not making the complaint because of the economic value of the cooler, I am doing so because of the bad action of an unscrupulous person who compromises the good name of the organization they represent.

I am a huge fan of the CMS, I've been attending events for years at this venue. The facilities meets all your needs for an entertaining event.
Douglas W — Google review
This is my fifth NASCAR track. Had the second worst parking, 90 minutes to get out of the Bronze lot which was a waste of $75 as those who paid only $20 got out much sooner and had just as far to walk. Concessions had good options. Roval is a good experience and you're better off with a cheaper seat at Turn 7 as it is completely shaded and sees way more important action than the start/finish line.
Justin T — Google review
We went to the coca cola. This is a great place to see a race, however the parking is a real nightmare. They are poorly organized and signage left much to be desired. When you finally get to the venue" it took us 2 hours to park and get inside when we were within 2 miles of the track and with preferred parking. The race was extremely loud and I was very thankful that we brought earphones.

We went here with a group from our neighborhood for lunch and a tour. Lunch was wonderful, but the tour was awesome! We were driven on the track and took a fast and furious drive around the turns! So much fun! If you ever have the chance to do this tour, do it!

My husband and son loved their birthday/graduation/Christmas presents. They did the tide along with an experienced driver followed by driving the cars all by themselves. They absolutely loved it. I've never seen them smile so big. They are still coming down off their high. I scored big brownie points.

Race was a lot of fun (until the storm,of course). Seats were good. A little confusing knowing where to go with track passes, but we got that figured out. You can not use cash or apple pay here. I could buy nothing.

The installations are impressive! We got the tickets in advance in digital and there was all ok, we bought for the main stand at the start-finish line.We bought the parking in advance but it was not any signal for our pre-purchased spot and some people take advantage of that.Take the time to get in to the speedway because there is a lot of traffic during the weekend.

So peaceful and easily accessible. I love to be near the water. The track is nice and the seating places are shaded! It is near the gun range but I don't mind the sound of shots.

Nice little park with a paved trail around the lake. Pavillions were well maintained.

This is a very nice place to come walk. There is one path that goes around the whole lake. My only complaint is there is a gun range right next to here that definitely takes away from the peacefulness.

This is a big, beautiful park with a large lake where you can bike, fish, or paddle boat. It also has a greenway and an activity center you can reserve. My only disappointment is the loud outdoor shooting range nearby. It would be nice if the range was converted to an indoor range or moved somewhere out of earshot.

Beautiful lake and walk around it has so many views and things to do. We just walked around the park for the exercise and beauty. They have fishing areas, rental boats on weekends in the fall, pavilions, disc golf, bathrooms, grills at pavilions and horseshoe pits. I am not the biggest fan of Gastonia but this is a gem in the rough.

Folks, we are lucky to have a place like this so close. A very nice 1.5 mile paved walking track, with a beautiful continuous view of the lake and all of the things of nature that come with it. You can watch the eagles fly, the ducks playing on top of the water. You can see fish swimming and an occasional harmless banded water snake. Even deer are present at the park sometimes. This is a pet friendly park, and they have stations that supply bags to pick up poop that comes from your pet (please pick up after your dog). A nice playground for the kids, that includes a zip-line, just a great place to spend some relaxing time.

Rankin Lake State Park is a beautiful and serene park that offers various outdoor activities. The park is well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The lake is perfect for fishing and paddling, boating, kayaking, and the hiking trails offer picturesque views of the surrounding nature. We rented a motor boat and we only paid 10 dollars for an hour and that’s really affordable.

Nice trail with lots of sun; circles around small lake.
Matthew W — Google review
The park itself is beautiful and well kept. However the experience was ruined by the proximity to skeet shooting range. Gun shots were ringing the entire visit at the park, depriving it of any sense of peace. I have nothing against skeet shooting ranges or guns, just don’t believe that a public park should be next door to one.
Drew N — Google review
Such a beautiful park and lake, but I didn't realize the shooting range was right next door. Shots were going off the entire time we walked around the lake. My dog wasn't having it. I would definitely go back during the hours the range isn't open.
Morgan H — Google review
Brilliant, wide open park with a giant lake surrounded completely by a paved shoreline walkway. Numerous benches, a long bridge and several nice fishing piers are featured. Great place to walk your dog and picnicking spots abound. One whole side of the park is flanked by a sprawling swamp where access is wisely forbidden and well posted. Would be extremely peaceful were it not for the loud gunfire emanating from the firing range across the swamp.

I like to come here for a quick motivating run. Nice ring around the lake, over a mile. Nice to walk as well. Has places to sit, fish and a play ground. Gorgeous in the fall. People are friendly and give greeting! Has a lot of green space for a picnic. There are grills also on site.

Fabulous place to take in the sights and enjoy the outdoors. Bathrooms are clean, and the pathway around the lake is amazing. Bank of America Stadium is a 74,000-seat football stadium located in Charlotte and serves as the home of the NFL's Carolina Panthers. It is a must-visit destination for sports enthusiasts and music lovers alike. The stadium hosts college teams, annual events like the Dukes Mayo Bowl, and has witnessed historic victories by the Panthers. Beyond football, it transforms into a concert venue attracting top talent.
A clean and stunning stadium in downtown Charlotte. The city skyline made for a beautiful backdrop; especially when all the lights started coming on. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were a few unruly fans in our section and security did a great job diffusing the situation and kept everyone around from being interrupted from watching the game. The food selection was beyond amazing. The souvenir cup for free refills is definitely worth it. A great stadium to enjoy a game!
H C — Google review
Bank of America Stadium was pretty cool, and it definitely exceeded my expectations. I think the best word to describe "The Bank" is "corporate", in both good and bad ways. It's a very nice stadium, but it doesn't really have a raucous atmosphere or anything that really sets it apart from other stadiums. It's not a Lambeau, Arrowhead, or even a Cowboys Stadium level of noteworthiness, and thus I don't know if its worth going out of your way for. Now, with that being said, Bank of America Stadium is definitely an above-average stadium, which has a lot going for it. The first is the cleanliness. I've NEVER been to a sports stadium, college or professional, that's as clean as this one was. In addition, the food and drink options were amazing, albeit extremely expensive. Finally, the location of the stadium is one of its strongest attributes. It's very easy to walk to from the multitude of hotels located nearby, and has tons of dining options to choose from when you walk out.All-in-all, Bank of America is an extremely solid, if not absolutely spectacular stadium. Would recommend catching a game here at least once.

We attended the Chiefs/Panthers NFL game. The stadium is nice, clean and well-managed. Great views from any seat. Concourses are wide. Restrooms are OK. As a NFL fan from another city, Charlotte is a great place to see a game. Not only is the stadium nice, but it is also super-convenient to stay at a nearby hotel, walk to/from the stadium, and there are good restaurant options within walking distance. Plus, the locals are great hosts. Very friendly place for visiting fans to go to a game.

Attended the Real Madrid match versus Chelsea at the Bank of America stadium in Charlotte, NC. This was a gift for my son's 13th birthday and it was well worth the drive from Raleigh. It had been almost 20 years since I have been at this stadium and I had an amazing time. I was impressed with the amenities and upkeep of the stadium. The staff was very helpful and the parking was surprisingly good. We did but a snag trying to get out of our parking deck but with the stadium being right off the highway, it took little time to hit the interstate. We enjoyed the shops and available merchandise. Plus, any stadium where you can get Bojangles deserves 5 Stars!! But you need to figure out how you can serve biscuit sandwiches. Most importantly, you can't beat the views, both in the field and of the skyline. It was a great trip!!
La B — Google review
It was my first NFL game and my 58th birthday!! Except for the loss and the cost of some items, I was very happy with my experience. Tickets were cheap because it was a preseason game. Parking cost near the stadium was astronomical, so I opted for free parking and the low-cost LYNX rail ride into downtown Charlotte. It was easy, safe, and convenient. Stadium concessions were very pricey, but I was impressed with the fact they offered alcoholic drinks other than just beer: You could get cocktails, wine, and hard seltzer too!

First time here 12/24- Packers vs Panthers. We got to the stadium early. Nice Stadium and Great Atmosphere! Staff was very friendly and helpful! We were in Section 542 with many other Packers fans. The seats were comfortable! Plenty of options for beverages and food. Really enjoyed the Packers vs Panthers game! 💚💛💚💛

First time there for soccer game. Seats are comfortable. Food and drink over priced as is the case with every athletic stadium in the US. Staff was helpful and friendly. The traffic is horrific from the stadium parking lot so don't be in a hurry to get home. I'd be concerned about a medical emergency. Lot 5 is better parking area but be prepared to walk uphill to the stadium for those with mobility issues. There could be better parking places if you are familiar with the area. I'd return for a future event.

first time being at this Bank of America Stadium, wonderful performance and great lounges and bathrooms very clean well kept up very nice. Would recommend anybody to show go to these events here. The staff did amazing job with the overwhelming amount of people. It’s kind of hilarious some of the staff I guess it depends on the singers, but they have no idea who some of these country folks are. we’re bunch of hillbillies from Virginia so we enjoyed every bit of George Strait little big town and Chris Stapleton.

Bank of America Stadium is an outstanding venue! The design is impressive, with a modern, sleek look that perfectly complements the energy of game day. The seating offers great views from every angle, and the facilities are top-notch, making it a fantastic place to enjoy a game. The atmosphere is always electric, with fans bringing incredible enthusiasm. The only thing that would make it better is if the Panthers got a bit more help on the field! Regardless, the stadium itself is a five-star experience that any football fan will appreciate.

I came here for the Panthers Bucs Game. It was with some family friends and it was my first ever NFL game. The atmosphere here is amazing and they have a really nice stadium and everything. They lost 10-3 but it was alright. I was in one of the sections near the scoreboard but still they were great seats and saw a lot. Wasn’t terrible coming in or leaving and it was a fun game and fun experience. I’m a NY Giants fan but I’d certainly go to another panthers game knowing I’m from Durham and it’s not terribly far

First time attending a game here and the experience was very good. My daughter and I came to town to watch our Dallas Cowboys play the Panthers and I gotta hand it to the Panthers organization, this was a very smooth and well organized event. I would recommend arriving when the gates open and just walk around and familiarise yourself with where things are located (it’s really pretty self explanatory and well marked). The staff members are very helpful and friendly. Plenty of security. It really was a very enjoyable experience especially since the Cowboys won

The NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte is a must-visit for race fans and history buffs alike. The museum pays homage to stock car racing with interactive exhibits, a state-of-the-art theater, and the Hall of Fame featuring plaques honoring inductees. Visitors can trace NASCAR's evolution from dirt tracks to super-speedways and view artifacts like the first helmet with a radio, iconic uniforms, and historic trophies.
I am glad to finally visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame. My son is a big fan and I watch it a bit but we both had a blast! Learning the history and seeing everything on display was mesmerizing. The simulators were exciting and it was great to experience what the NASCAR life is like. I wish there were a few more sections so kids can interact since they are fans too but we made it work. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had.

I got the basic package had an admission ticket, lanyard and simulator experience and it was worth it! It seems a bit pricy but they have pretty good amount of interesting stuff and experience. Even though you don’t have a simulator ticket there is a section you can try the driving on a seat. Just not inside the car. They also have a tire change experience and they teach you how to do it very friendly. You can buy a photo of yours too. It was a fun experience!

I like old cars, so it was cool to see vintage cars from when NASCAR first started out. They have a movie room on the first floor, where you can learn about the origins of NASCAR racing. There are several more floors with interactive games/videos. It’s not just for kids or die hard fans. As a history buff/movie fan, it was cool to see and learn. Bought a hat at the gift shop when I was done, for my friend back home.

Such an awesome experience. The staff is super friendly and seem like genuinely enjoy being there. For a casual fan I’d say expect to spend a couple hours. For the hardcore enthusiast, like myself, you could spend all day there. There’s just so much to see. The layout of the museum just makes sense.Concession prices are very reasonable. $2 for a water or soft drink is more than fair. The simulator is ran on iRacing software so it’s legit.

I don’t know what kid or adult wouldn’t like this place!! Definitely going back! Well worth the money. I bought tickets online, but there still would have been no wait! Very organized and structured. Bought a package that comes with the simulator, lunch, a certificate to the gift shop and other goodies! Very interactive and educational museum! There’s like 3 or 4 levels to the museum so wear your walking shoes. A theater with a 20 minute show is included you can watch at your leisure.
Shynekia R — Google review
Really disappointed in the amount of cars. I was expecting to see many of the older cars. Talladega museum was definitely better. Also the simulator was not enjoyable because people can not follow simple directions and the museum didn't enforce any rules.
Tracy P — Google review
A truly amazing experience. The architecture of the venue alone is a marvel. The cars, suits, helmets, trophies and other exhibits are wonderfully arranged. Do not miss trying the race simulation in a model car and the pit stop challenge. Something not to miss by any means when in Charlotte

You don't have to get tickets online before you go. The place is very good for the family outing. Give yourself 2-3 hours time frame to stay there, they also have free iRacing there, so as driving simulation inside NASCAR cars. The entire place about 4 levels, you start from the top and walk down. Their gift shop is very good, but it doesn't have various selections of NASCAR drivers' items. They mostly have souvenirs that belong to the place, not drivers. Definitely, I recommend this for myself to visit again and others

I am not a huge NASCAR fan but family is. I went to get some photos and videos to send back home. I left very impressed. I would absolutely go back and experience everything they have again even as a non-fan. Glory Road is very awesome inspiring and the actually Hall is breathtaking. The video they show in the theater tells you everything you need to know on the sport. Definitely worth a visit!

The museum is well done and conveniently located downtown. Many of the exhibits are interactive and provide a look into the history of the sport. It was interesting. They would benefit from having a theater with the history of Nascar rather than the little screen running in a loop. They would benefit from more interactive things like the virtual racing and such. But it was neat and if I was more into Nascar it might even have been great.

Loud of fun. Lunch was delicious. The stations were fun to interact with. I learned a lot but I didn't know. The simulations were a lot of fun and almost everyone could participate young and old. The videos were fun to watch. The gift shop was amazing and you could get so many different things there. We also were able to get a group photo. I highly recommend this museum

It's a great experience and has some things to have fun with. The racing sim is very hard but fun. Also the station to change the tire and put gas, I couldn't believe that my wife was actually enjoying doing that. We did it 3 times . Over all very fun experience

We bought a combination package. We enjoyed the exhibits. The museum is clean and well organized. The employees are informative and helpful. We enjoyed the simulator. The food in the cafe was really good. Great experience.

Great to visit love the history. The simulator experience is fun too only way it could be better is if kids had their own Sim. And adults had their own so you could get a more realistic experience.

Cool display of NASCAR history and some of its famous cars. They have interactive activities for the whole family. As a non-NASCAR viewer, I recognized one famous car, Lightning McQueen. Pretty cool.

Where do I begin. The ultimate NASCAR experience when visiting here. You could spend quite a long time reading all the history. The iracing car simulator is awesome and the gift shop is huge with many offerings. Right in downtown Charlotte easy parking too.

Really cool place if you're either already an avid NASCAR fan or if you have any interest in learning more about the sport and the history of stock car racing in general. There are some amazing cars and relics in here. There was the actual "Hall of Fame" exhibit which will change from year-to-year based on the inductees, but it seems like they also have a different exhibit each year out on the main floor that sits below the "Glory Road" exhibit.Being a Hendrick Motorsports superfan who grew up cheering for Jeff Gordon, the HMS 40th anniversary exhibit was absolutely amazing to see. I spent my first hour or more inside just looking at that. I couldn't have picked a better year to go. It definitely makes you want to keep up with the Hall of Fame and see what new exhibits they have from year-to-year.

The right place for people interested in motor sports. Great furnishings and lots of exhibits. The racing simulator is not easy and requires training. Price performance for admission is good.

Awesome fun, polite and respectful staff! Took me 2 hours to go through it all but didn't see all the videos. Worth coming here!

I’m not really a fan of NASCAR but I enjoyed it and learned a lot. They have a simulator which is $5 but seemed to be pretty popular. There is a military discount. They have a gift shop and a little cafe for food. A lot of cool cars and memorabilia on display.

A entertaining morning! This museum has something for everyone! Interactive games, pit crews, short informative film on racing. A host of racing cars for each generation!
Stephanie C — Google review
Was very impressed by the RFID personalization experience with the museum - when you scan your tickets, you are provided a small card with an RFID chip, which when registered allows you to interact with exhibits and even save items from exhibits for a “personalized scrapbook” you can have emailed to you!The museum itself featured exhibits on well known racers and their cars, as well as a neat exhibit on the top floor showing safety advancements over the years. The museum also had lots of interactive experiences, like simulators, and a pit crew challenge!

The Sullenberger Aviation Museum, located at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, NC, offers a captivating journey through the history and technology of aviation. Visitors can explore a diverse collection of commercial, military, and civil aircraft as well as aviation artifacts and memorabilia. The museum features interactive displays, educational information about aviation, and hands-on activities for an engaging learning experience for visitors of all ages.
Nice museum to stop by, especially if you are fascinated by planes and would like to learn a little history around some military planes that are there. The museum is small and the tour might be less than 2 hours but very educational! The really cool thing I like is that they have the actual US Airways plane that went down in the Hudson River. Incredible story and everyone survived. The exhibit is very interesting and you see the changes in regulation that happened after that incident. The museum also has events there it seems and a cute gift shop. Worth the exploration for sure.
Mich F — Google review
Neat place for aviation enthusiasts. They have quite a few great examples iconic aircraft in really good shape considering their age. The center piece exhibit is the actual Airbus A320 from the Miracle on the Hudson. Lots of great info. The kids enjoyed the flight simulator and getting into a couple of the cockpits.Keep in mind there is no AC where the planes are, but it wasn't too bad even with 90+ degree temps outside.
Ken C — Google review
It’s a decent place to visit, needs more attractions though. I am aware it may be difficult to do so but will make this place even better. It is cool that there is US Airways flight 1549 on display. I recommend visiting just make sure you wear clothes that fit the temperature as there is no air conditioner in the hangar.
Constantine D — Google review
What a wonderful new museum that opened in June. The Miracle on the Hudson is an amazing story, experienced through a short film. And to have the actual plane inside the building is to see first hand what landing on the Hudson did to the plane. There are so many more inspiring displays to take in and learn aviation history!

Looking forward to the future. We went on a rainy day and was looking forward to the indoor exhibits. Two of the major interactive exhibits were closed and an entire section of the museum won’t be completed until 2025. We were disappointed. What we did see was good though so with everything open, it will be a 5-star event. The main exhibit, the Miracle in the Hudson flight 1539 was excellent. Seeing what the plan went through, the damage to the plane, and understanding what Capt. Sully did for those passengers truly exemplifies the nickname Miracle.
Bill P — Google review
I love aviation museums but was totally surprised with the Airbus that crashed in the Hudson on display! Great presentation. Plus a good display of military aircraft, mostly Navy and Marine. Although it was a hot day, still not uncomfortable inside even with no air-conditioning. But I am an old Navy guy and heat is never an issue. Well worth the visit.Charlotte is really lucky to have an aviation museum like this in the city. It's a great attraction with reasonable admission fees, free parking and terrific community outreach. The highlight of the museum is the Miracle on the Hudson plane, which was headed to Charlotte the day in landed in the Hudson River in 2009.The museum has been open for more than 25 years but is closing temporarily on July 14 and will be relocated when it opens again in approximately 2022. In the meantime, an office staff will focus on community outreach and education. The Hudson plane will not be on display during this period. The 40,000 square foot hanger that housed the museum is being repurposed for private aviation needs. The museum plans to reopen in a new, larger location in 2022. I'm looking forward to seeing the new space and exhibits. My family has had several great experiences at the museum and with the staff and we especially love participating in the annual community day events.

We had a group tour the Sullenberger Aviation Museum. It was a great time of learning. A variety of planes and tons of information. Very reading-heavy on the displays but there are some hands-on activities for younger people (or kids at heart as the case with some of our folks). Great information about the history of aviation with more display coming soon in an additional building.
Jenny R — Google review
Cool museum. Very easy to manuever and several very interesting planes and helicopters. Obviously, the biggest treat was seeing the "Miracle on the Hudson" jet. Amazing story and artifacts on display. Worth a visit!
Sylvia R — Google review
I give them an A+ for what they've done and have open now as well as what I expect will be the case in the future, but a B for what is there right now. The main attraction is there, and the stories and explanations all around it are very well done. I'd love to see more, such as views from the inside, perhaps a full real time immersive movie or room or something to get a sense of the perspective of the passengers or the pilots, something showing the cold water and the views from the boats. There is a ton more they can do with this. Also they have a kids experiment room that is really well done. They can make paper airplanes or cardboard airplanes, or anything they want. We spent a while in there. They also have a lot of really cool other aircraft, but that's where it needs improvement. They do have explanations of them here and there but it's very hard to find the aircraft they refer to, or when you see some to know what it was and find the description of it. I get the feeling that either they had planned to have more room before it was decided this plane would be here, or that they expect to have more room later and are doing what they can in this small space right now. So a great initial museum, and I expect better in the future.
James M — Google review
It is much smaller than expected. However, if you have school age children, you will spend HOURS there - many interesting activities throughout the museum. The volunteers there are friendly and knowledgeable. The flight simulator and the workshop at the end was a hit!Tix prices are a bit high. Definitely recommend to purchase tickets online.

Relatively small but very nice museum. Budget 2 hr to see it all. Showcase is the miracle on the Hudson Airbus in all it's broken glory displayed indoors. Walk around and under it can't see or go into it. Heavy emphasis on Charlotte and NC aviation milestones and people. Heavy emphasis on STEM activities and accessable exhibits. Very modern exhibits and storytelling throughout. Just reopened after 4? Year closure and facelift. More to come. $24 admission feels a little steep for what there is to see. Nice tiny little gift shop. Very clean restrooms.
Norm W — Google review
This place was awesome. We visited today with our son and had such a great time. Could have spent a whole cheque in tha gift shop alone.Lots to see and read about, a little creativity project room for children.Outside they have some bleachers with a great view of the runways. This alone is a great reason to go while the overlook park is new and busy. It’s large enough it doesn’t feel crowded too.As a bonus keep an eye on the outdoor planes. There’s some birds nesting in sneaky places that gave us a good laugh. Esp engine bird. Will be getting a membership.

I recently visited the Sullenberger Aviation Museum, and I was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make my visit enjoyable. Their passion for aviation and knowledge about the exhibits really stood out, making the tour both informative and engaging. The museum's collection of planes is truly remarkable. Each exhibit is meticulously maintained and offers a fascinating glimpse into aviation history. I was particularly surprised by how well-preserved and thoughtfully displayed the planes were. Whether you're an aviation enthusiast or just curious about the history of flight, the Sullenberger Aviation Museum is a must-visit. The combination of a friendly, knowledgeable staff and an outstanding collection of aircraft makes for an unforgettable experience

After a long renovation, the museum finally reopened, and here is the significant "Miracle on the Hudson". As a pilot, this is definitely an important part of aviation history. I regret not coming to the scene to meet Captain "Sully" during the ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 31. It's also a good spot to shoot the planes hold short at the end of the runway
Frank L — Google review
This is a really nice, small aviation museum. Not only do they have the original U.S. Airways flight 1549 plane but several other military and civil aviation aircraft with brief descriptions of each. With it being located at the end of a runway of Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, you can watch planes takeoff and land after your tour.
Erik R — Google review
Beautiful new facility with plenty of varied aviation history to see. Having a front row seat to the departures and arrivals is a treat as well. If you are lucky you’ll meet a really nice volunteer named Don who will share some great Pan-Am aviation stories with you. 10/10 would recommend.

My tweens, grandma and I went to this museum. It was well liked by all. The interactive exhibits were awesome and the place was clean and nice. There were also lots of employees to help and give information. The only issue (that kept us from giving a 5 star) is that the plumbing wasn't working and there were upscale porta potties.
Andrea S — Google review
Extensive display of all types of aircraft outside & indoors. Very knowledgeable docents were available to answer any questions. There were some computers set up as flight simulators but there is at least one actual simulator that will be operational very soon. The day we visited planes were taking off and landing on the runway right next to the museum!

Loved it! My son & kids loved all of it too! Wish there were more options for getting inside some but still an awesome place to explore!

Regional wildlife & natural areas are the focus of a museum with a planetarium & a nature trail.
The kids absolutely loved this place. Best money I've ever spent for an outing with the kiddos. The planetarium started the tour and the kids were amazed! Very interactive with even the youngest. There's tons of exhibits, the place just keeps on going and going. It honestly took the better part of 4 hours. Then the outdoor educational section with live animals. Pigs, goats, chickens, roosters, etc, etc. Even dinosaur fossils to check out. Many many live creatures in tanks as well. Owls, snakes, softshell turtlesAnd a native American section that's very large in itself. We will definitely not hesitate to come back every time we pass through this area. Finally been satisfied with what we get for the cause when it comes to entertaining four kids ages 2,4,6, and 8. Absolutely had a great time as an adult too.

We were in town for a weekend and found this gemA very eclectic collection. We had a nice day wandering through the exhibits. They had a little bit of everything from local history & geology to dinosaurs & snakes. There is no gift shop or cafe. There are vending machines on property. You may also leave and come back on your ticket so we were able to go get lunch nearby and return to finish our day.In addition to the museum there is a short trail, a barnyard and a Planetarium. The barnyard and Planetarium are an extra fee.Be sure to ask about the Planetarium show times when you arrive. They have different ones throughout the day. When we were there (October 2024) there is construction so you have to enter the parking lot off Burtonwood. There are signs so it is easy to find. If you are on Garrison Rd there is a parking area a short walk down the road just past the employee parking lot. Between the two options there is plenty of free parking available.

I went with my little brother to a school field trip! This was very informative of different animals, and the farm was cute. The Planetarium was just one small & short hallway. It's definitely more so for smaller children, but it still was a nice outing. I wouldn't go a 2nd time. I took some cute pics, though

This museum is amazing! So many artifacts to read on. I’m a huge nerd for anything remotely related to history and this museum is after my own heart. I easily lost track of time there because I was so enthralled with stopping to read everything. Great way to pass some time in Gastonia for a little day trip.

We went with the school on a field trip and had a blast. It's a beautiful museum, fun place, lots of things to do to keep the kids attention. We loved the planetarium, the trails, and had fun at the farm with the sheep and goats.

The museum right now is going under a lot of renovations. The T-Rex that is in the lobby is gone replaced by pterodactyls. The dinosaur gallery is not to size. And the mammoth is gone. It has a nice nature trail nice farm area The planetarium is amazing. I just wish that whoever runs the shield museum could get more funding because it could be so much more. But my kids love it

Love all the displays especially the big cats. This is fun for both adults and children. The outdoor animal area has changed and some of the animals are no longer here. Maybe they change things frequently?Price is very affordable!Sadly, the T-Rex is no longer here.

Fun place to go and see cool stuff! I love the dinosaurs! It’s like walking in Jurassic park. Except the Dino’s aren’t trying to eat you. lol
Taylor J — Google review
We have fun when we go, but they really try to squeeze extra money from people for anything interactive and it’s not a great look. Don’t pay extra for the farm, it’s 100% not worth it. Catawba Science Center is such a better deal, everything there is included (including their planetarium show, unlike the Schiele)!
Teresa D — Google review
Pretty nice museum but oddly shaped. We kept circling the same thing over and over. Unfortunately we missed the planetarium. I think the worst thing was the farm. Those animals looked like they were in terrible shape. I’m not sure if they were rescues or something but they looked so poorly taken care of it was saddening. Just dirty, hungry, unhealthy, and sad looking. If they aren’t rescues, I feel bad having paid money to support the farm area.

Giving this museum a 5 star. As I took our two youngest daughters ( 3 &7). I was greeted kindly. Had paid previously online with Mrs.B. she was very nice and helpful. When we arrived she gave me a map, encouraged where to go,and explained what to do. We had.a.BLAST. It was too cold to walk the trail. But when it warms up we will return. I definitely recommend for younger children and parents alike. Too many pictures to post but we loved the exhibits, animals, and most importantly HISTORY. My favorite part was watching my girls ice skate and the planetarium. Please note there are separate fees for additional exhibits but it's worth it and children 3 and younger are free.

It was indeed an experience worth going back. This museum will immerse you from the prehistoric times to the mysteries of our universe. This museum also has a mini zoo (live animals and plants) inside showcasing the different flora and fauna the East coast, and other states have.It also has mini farm that shows farming ways from the old times. A walking trail and a forest park is also part of the museum property.from theI’m a Science teacher so immersing myself in these different places is important. My favorite are the live animals and the hurricane simulation chamber.Note: if you want to experience the planetarium immersion, you need to call the museum because it has schedules so you can plan your trip. There is a show for the kids and a show for high school and adult. Also, the planetary immersion is a separate pay for only 10 dollars.

We loved this museum, it has too much to offer! The main building is not super big but it has many interesting exhibitions and information, this is definitely the first stop; but then you have a beautiful farm (outdoor) with an old cabins and many other stations and animals that your kids will love.In addition to it you can also walk-hike trough a small forrest that is also beautiful and a perfect opportunity to enjoy nature. There is a lot to do 👍💯% recommended

Found this place through Fb event, they had cookie chemistry class and who doesn’t like cookies. Museum not big but still worth to visit, also they have nature trail and little farm.Farm is 3$ and you most likely paying for animals having something to eat.In summer time I believe there are more activities outdoor.
Lilia M — Google review
The museum had some really nice exhibits an dinosaurs, and 'Creepy Nature' as well as a good permanent exhibit area. The 'farm' area was a little disappointing, but that was probably due to it being November. There were no staff around to answer questions or monitor the area that we could see.The planetarium was small, but did a neat little show on the night sky. Some of the non-sky images were blurry, and the show was definitely geared toward a younger audience than my just turned teenager, but we still enjoyed it. Overall, I think it was well worth the $ and the time to make the stop while we traveled through the area!

We were passing through this area and stumbled upon this gem. Originally, we were going to go to Discovery in Charlotte, but read the reviews for Schiele. Great decision because it was a good bang for our buck. My toddler was greatly entertained. I just wish we would have had more time to take in the experience (museum is not timed; we were just on a schedule). If we are back in the area we will definitely stop by. Great place to visit with nice staff. Highly recommend!!!!

This was such a cool place to learn about so many different things. Local history, habitats, and animals beginning in the Prehistoric Era. Informative and well maintained exhibits. The planetarium show was really interesting to watch about the Artemis Mission.Outside there is a wonderful shady trail that it a half mile that circles the property. There are really awesome exhibits outside as well as a play area for the kids, a pond, an old mill, a stone age heritage site and a Catawba Indian Village. There is also a small farm that you can enjoy with live animals. The cost to enter is $3/pp but we ran out of time today. This museum could be an all day place to take the kids, pack a lunch and sit at one of the inside tables to eat or at one of the many picnic tables outside.

Nature & Parks
Freedom Park in Charlotte, North Carolina is a sprawling 98-acre park offering a variety of activities for visitors. The park features sports fields, playgrounds, walking trails, and even a lakeside bandshell. It's an ideal spot for picnics and leisurely strolls around its quaint ponds and well-maintained gardens. Additionally, the park hosts events like the Festival In The Park with various food choices and art displays.
Went to Festival In The Park at Freedom Park. I'll start off with parking is a nightmare. We were fortunate to find a spot about 1/4 mile from one of the entrances. Basically ignore the no parking signs and park on the street. According to a couple of police officers we spoke to they don't tow during festivals. Anyway, other than that it's a great festival. Tents set up along the path around the lake. Plenty of food choices along the route. Artists of all different styles set up tents. Sculptures, paintings, photographs etc. 3D art as well. Plenty of hand crafted jewelry, home goods, candles and clothing. There was a carnival area for kids with rides and such. They had music set up on the stage in the lake all day. All in all a nice way to spend an afternoon outdoors. Will go again next year.

This park has raised the bar for what a park can be, I may have to begin issuing tiers. I would place this park on a S-Tier level. 🙌🏾I was not able to see all that this park has to offer but from what I was able to witness this place has everything. From a great place for portraiture, activities for the kids, a place to have a cookout and/or even a FAMILY REUNION, there a mini amphitheater and a walk/run trail and a nature preserve. 🤩 🏞If you are ever in Charlotte North Carolina, do yourself a favor and check this place out you will not be disappointed. 🍾🎈🎉

I go here every weekend with my small dog. Plenty of paths to walk. Visit the Memorial Flag and walk around it to the small fountain and 9-11 Memorial. Bathrooms are accessible. The butterfly garden has bees or butterflys depends on the season and cute Pink Puff tree. Some small blooming bushes. Seating on benches, covered pavilions to rest and soothing views into ponds and nature.

Beautiful!! Family and I came from Florida to visit relatives and went on a stroll during Labor Day weekend. We drove 10 min from the arts district. Though it was humid, the park was well kept, very clean and spacious. We walked a trail that led us to the bridge because eventually it was closed due to construction. I so wished the trail was open! Everything was so beautiful!! Otherwise, very family friendly!! Lots of space for picnics. Big playground area for kids and great parking. Very impressed considering this was in the heart of Charolette! Overall we loved it and would love to come again!

My first time at this park was a few weeks ago with my daughter. She planned a picnic for us and it was wonderful. Pets are welcomed, and you can ride your bike or scooter at your leisure.

So pleasantly surprised by this park. It has a little something for everyone. Great walking trails, huge pond, safe sidewalk connections to the city, cute parks, volleyball, big fields, water features and a little Panther training center. The only reason that it didn't get full stars is because there was hardly any shade covering the actual playground so from the hours of 10-5, the playground is too hot for the kids to play on safely. This really limits who the park is available to.

Beautiful and peaceful park for all ages! They have softball, football and volleyball arrangements on the periphery of the park and then all around the water, you can picnic, play some family games or enjoy an afternoon nap. I believe they have live music and events in the summer, not sure but the stage was set up for it so definitely keep an eye out.The washrooms very clean and well maintained. There are 3-4 parking areas around the park but they do fill up fairly fast.

Love Freedom Park and the spacing. Very busy place on the weekends ( at times). The parking is very limited, especially if there is an event going on. I suggest parking along the streets if you don't mind. We celebrated our spontaneous International Dance Day💃 in April around the fountain. We had a ball! People joined us to dance with flags, and learn a quick line dance 💃 We will be doing it again the first Saturday in June, July & August (2024) Dancing to burn 🔥 calories in the park for 1 hour.

My husband and I were in the Charlotte area, and I had seen this come up on the map. I didn’t know what to expect, because I didn’t get a chance to look into it before we headed there. What a surprise!First off, the doorway is a huge cross when you walk in. Absolutely beautiful and what a beautiful reminder of Jesus’ sacrifice. As you walk in, there’s a welcome desk. Everyone was so wonderful! There is a free tour that takes about an hour and a half. We thought we might just see a building, but it was so much more than that!We did as much of the tour as we could, but when we made plans to go there we didn’t anticipate a tour or staying long. There is a cafe for some food and drinks, and there is also a gift shop with all kinds of things and lots of books whether they are bibles in many different translations, study bibles, books on spiritual warfare, devotional, etc. My husband ended up getting a Billy Graham study Bible, and he loves it. Around the path outside, are the graves of Billy and his wife.We had a lovely visit here. Anyone who knows the Graham family, has been to one of his events, is a Christian, or loves a truly inspirational story, would enjoy this. We plan to bring my in laws when they visit. Billy was a strong man of faith and lived for Jesus making it his mission to bring as many to Christ across the world as possible. When you walk out of the building back through the cross, if you look up, you will see written “I am coming quickly.” A reminder for us all to be ready.

Our first visit to this holy place was truly a blessing. The staff were kind, gracious, and welcoming, embodying the love of Christ in their actions. It was an inspiration to learn about the life and work of Billy Graham, and how he devoted himself to spreading the word of God. His unwavering faith and commitment to serving the Lord is a shining example for us all. We left feeling uplifted and renewed in our own faith. Praise be to God for this wonderful experience.

This was such a great place to visit in Charlotte. It's so peaceful and beautiful. The staff was really kind and very knowledgeable, willing to explain everything in detail. The exhibit is well organized and even their store is nice.I particularly loved the gallery of photos and the display about the life of Billy Graham. This could be such a great venue for a wedding.I loved that there was no entry fee too.Definitely worth a visit.

Had the opportunity to visit Billy graham’s library few weeks back. It was a great experience. The staff was knowledgeable about his life and the work he did. The library was interactive. They made sure every age had a good time. Saw few of his things he used. The house he grew up in and the tombstone.Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.

Beautiful experience with the family. Inspired to live my life more fulfilling and following the Lord’s will! My kids also enjoyed it and my eldest cried. The snippets of Billy Graham’s sermons were so powerful and moving. We highly recommend going out of your way to visit this anointed place!!

What a wonderful experience! I cried almost the whole way through, partly because it told the beautiful life work and story of Billy and Ruth, but also because my dad used to work for him, so it had personal meaning. Such a beautiful property, wonderful exhibits, and they have kept Billy's legacy alive by keeping Jesus at the forefront, and even giving an opportunity to accept Jesus at the end of the tour! What a wonderful experience! Thank you!

May 29/24 My friend and I spent an entire day at the Billy Graham Library on our road trip back to Canada from Orlando WE found it so interesting, thoughtful , and inspirational. We entered the family home then moved to the huge complex where we were welcomed by Bessy the cow.We were guided through the different rooms by lovely volunteers There were many displays and videos sharing the many aspects of Billy Graham's life and ministry. He was a family man, evangelist and a deeply spiritual man of God, a herald. Everything was laid out so thoughtfully and the wooden structure itself was so beautiful .We had a delicious lunch at the cafeteria and then walked the grounds It was so peaceful and simple. We definitely were given time to reflect in this wooded quiet space on the grounds. As we were leaving I saw a deer on the grounds!!I highly recommend this amazing library.

The Billy Graham Library is a deeply inspiring place. The exhibits are beautifully designed, providing a touching look at Billy Graham’s life and ministry. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the experience. The peaceful prayer garden and charming cafe add to the serene atmosphere. A must-visit for anyone interested in Graham’s impactful legacy. Highly recommended!

The Library has undergone some significant upgrades since I was last here (probably 15 years ago). Reverend Graham's story is presented in an engaging way. There are lots of places to sit throughout the tour. The first few galleries are viewed as a tour group and then you can easily move at your own pace. While you will hear about salvation decisions and ways to donate, there is no pressure to do either. Visiting and tours are free. Reservations are strongly recommended during the Christmas season (though admission is still free) and weekdays are less crowded than Saturdays. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon and spent about two hours on the property. There were plenty of other visitors, but no space felt crowded. We spent a few minutes at the Grahams' graves after touring the library and less than 10 minutes in the home place. (We walked in the house about 10 minutes ago before closing and we're treated like we still had hours to visit). The staff is helpful and knows the answers to just about anything you might ask. Well worth the visit and you will hear about an inspiring life without having to deal with the drama of current political differences. Billy Graham spoke of love over hate and the love of God being for everyone. This is a wonderful part of his legacy.

Entry is free and they even give you a gift bag for filling out a survey because they truly want to make the museum a blessing to people. There is a tour that takes you through the life of Billy Graham and family. The first half or so is guided with the last half being self directed. There's a bathroom at the entry and half way through the museum. You learn so much about him the impact he made. In the same building is an adorable gift shop and cafe. You'll also find a prayer garden where Billy and Ruth are buried along with his childhood home that was disassembled and rebuilt there. You can tour both at a self directed pace. Most of the workers are volunteers and know a ton about the Graham family and are even ready to pray with you. What an amazing way for Billy and Ruth Graham to reach people after their earthly life! A must go when in Charlotte.

Hands down one of the highlights of my North Carolina trip!! And I happen to stumble upon it with my wife. I have heard of Billy Graham, but was not aware of the impact he had on this corporeal world. We left having been prayed for, and feeling lucky to have learned what he did for the world. God bless you Billy Graham and thank you North Carolina for the great trip.

Great place to spend an afternoon or an entire day. The campus is immaculate and very interesting to walk around. I have yet to do the hour and half guided tour, but I plan on it sometime in the near future. They have a handful of attractions you can checkout on your own (unguided). It was nice to browse the curated bookstore, I picked up two different text I normally would have not bought/read. The prices were pretty fair, I checked the prices on Amazon and the bookstore was roughly on par with what you would expect to find online. Upon my arrival I was given a 10% off coupon to the bookstore, which definitely enticed me to pull the trigger on my purchases.Lots of cool antiques from Billy's life. The dairy/snack bar looked really good too, I do not drink dairy and there were no dairy alternatives (unfortunately), but they had other food too.The entire staff was super welcoming and not pushy at all, they really give you space and time to soak it all in, which I appreciate it.I definitely will be back in the near future!***NOTE TO STAFF: You should look into offering non-dairy drinks at the dairy bar, maybe something coconut based? Nothing too crazy just 2-3 items that are non-dairy for folks like myself, I think it would be well received by your guest.

Visit the Library and House of Billy Graham few hours ago. Very beautiful place. The Landscape of the place is beautiful. Inside the Library is a museum of life of Billy Graham, his family life, and his ministries. They also have display of his house that he (Billy Graham) used to live. Most of all the house is the exact how they lived. The display is very organized and written in plain English. There is also a trail that leads to their burial place. That place has a restaurant and a store. I highly recommend it to people come there.

I brought my kids to the Billy Graham Library this past Saturday. We read and studied about Mr. Billy Graham before we went so we would have a good background. My children just turned 13 and they loved it! We toured, shopped at Ruth’s Attic and at the Dairy Bar. Everything was excellent. Thank you for continuing the legacy, and thanks to everyone at the Library for being so hospitable. We are looking forward to going back for Christmas.

We toured the museum & library on March 14, 2024. Absolutely amazing !!!Very moving and heart warming. he was such a wonderful evangelist. Unfortunately, I never appreciated him growing up as I did when I got older. I had tears when I walked through the exhibits. You can visit his boyhood home which has been moved to that site. He and his wifeare buried next to the museum. It is truly a fantastic place to visit. Absolutely a must. Staffed by volunteers The restaurant served delicious food very reasonably priced.

Although it is called a “library,” this place is also a wonderful museum of the life and ministry of Billy Graham and the people he worked with. With free admission, free parking, and super nice employees, the buildings are definitely worth a visit! The main barn-shaped building contains the “Journey of Faith,” a tour of several rooms with state-of-the-art large screen videos and high-quality displays with photos and information of his many accomplishments. The reconstructed home from his childhood years in Charlotte is decorated realistically, with many of the original building materials, furnishings, and memorabilia. Ruth’s Attic bookstore contains unique gifts and books that provide evidence of his wife’s priority of great literature. High on the walls are built-in bookshelves containing books from Billy Graham’s own personal library. Other nice features of this place are the dairy bar which also has delicious lunch items, and the nearby (down a street) Billy Graham Archive & Research Center with sermons, videos, historical records, and other ministry materials, some of which are also available to view online. Very inspiring place!

I grew up close to here and still try to come up and see family. My aunts and uncles are in their 90s and eldest is almost (Nov) 102! And I must admit I always carry a small cooler with me to bring home a Piedmont treat - Livermush. All my kids and grandkids love it so the 13 pounds I can pack is shared. But we have never visited the Billy Graham Library. I can’t understand why. So this trip we set aside time to see it all.It is an amazing place dedicated to an amazing but humble man that introduced hundreds of thousands of people to Jesus Christ. We were fortunate to have been ushers and helpers in a Crusade held in Tampa. And we support through our church Franklin Graham’s ministries, especially Operation Christmas Child that takes shoeboxes (now mostly plastic boxes) to bring toys, shoes, books, sports equipment, fishing lines & hooks and more to children that otherwise would have nothing. The tour is divided into a number of displays, audio visuals and films telling the story of Billy’s life journey from country preacher to evangelist to multiple presidents, heads of state, even communist countries. It’s a marvelous and inspiring story that will give you a fresh inspiration to also declare God’s Good News to the world.

God bless you when you go to this blessing site. There are two structures of this site. One is library itself, alone with a bookstore and a shop. They have some decent souvenirs. The other one is the Graham family homeplace. There are volunteers as tour guides that tell you the family history and the building history.I especially paid a visit to the cemetery. That's the main reason I came to this site.I bumped into one volunteer. After he heard my road trip story, he put hand on my head and he prayed for me.It really touched my heart. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❣️❣️❣️❣️

Crowders Mountain State Park
State park
Nature & Parks
Park
Valleys, foothills, sheer vertical cliffs for hiking, bird-watching, camping, rock climbing & more.
Trails were marked easy, and all of the reviews were quite accurate. It was a bit crowded when I was there, but I showed up at 9:30 during peak fall season, so that's exactly what I'd expect. I would say the hikes real easy until the very end its moderate due to the stretch of steep stairs but other than that. Great area! And great hiking.

Today was my first time in Crowders Mountain state park with my 8 yrs and 3 yrs old. We followed the easy hiking trail and it was great hiking we all family had. Top view was very worthy walking on the top. Great place for hiking and kids friendly.

I started at the Crowders mountain visitor center and took a hike up the mountain via the red marked "Rocktop Trail".It took just under 1hr to get to the top, was pretty strenuous but well worth the views a third of the way up and especially all the way at the top.As it was a sunny day, the views were incredible! After reaching the top, I took the steps (Backside trail) and white "Crowders trail" down and arrived back at the visitor centre after approximately 45 minutes. The total route up and down was 10k or 6 miles. The ladies at the visitor center were very friendly and helpful and provided a map with all the different hiking routes in the Crowders mountain State Park. Thank you!Would definitely recommend taking the hike up on a nice day. In case the red route is too strenuous, the white route can be taken to the top and back as well. It will be a lot easier way to get to the top and back.Plentiful parking is available at the visitor center with additional overflow parking near the lake.

Trails are nicely marked. The shorter route is the one with the inclines & steps at the end. I haven't taken the path on the longer route just yet. I got up there in under an hour. The views are awesome once you get to the top! I saw ladies walking alone, folks in groups, couples, older gentlemen, etc. It's a walk for everyone & I felt safe. I'll definitely go again.

This is a lovely park that is well kept. The trail to the pinnacle is moderate for those in good shape. The trail is wide, easy to follow, shaded, and fairly even. Beautiful scenery and nice weather in mid September.

It’s a well maintained state park with nice trails and for us to have a good hike. They even have EV car charging which is a plus for us. We always enjoy our time here. The view is magnificent where you can see Charlotte downtown. It can also be a place to go for a hike and find a good spot to do some reading and picnic when you at the top of the mountain.

Wow! This hiking trail is intense. We got an amazing workout and made lots of friends along the way. We went on the perfect sunny day but there were enough trees to shade us from the sun. Some of the climbs are steep so I recommend wearing hiking boots to comfortably reach the top. Many people used hiking/trekking poles to assist with their walk. Lots of fun and highly recommended.

One of my favorite NC State Parks! When I lived in Gastonia, this was a quick few minutes driving away. I spent so much time hiking here and have covered every trail. The trails are numerous and long enough that you will only seldom see people. Usually hiking alone, I love the solitude and serenity Crowders Mountain offers.Certain parts of the trail can be steep and I saw many an unprepared family attempting the climb. While it is humorous to see, its an important message to understand your own fitness level, take it easy, and bring lots of water!During the summertimes the water goes quick, especially with the humidity. I carried at least 3 liters with me just to be safe. The good thing though is that you're never truly that far from the visitors center. This allows you to determine your progress throughout the hike and easily cut over onto a quicker path returning to the start should you desire.

Absolutely love this place! We visited for the 1st time last year and decided to go again a few days ago. 1st visit we did Backside Trail. It’s short but we definitely felt it. The stairs are a great workout. On this visit, we took Crowders trail to Backside. It took us about an hour and 20 minutes to the top (with a few breaks for the kid). I love nature and felt at peace on our hike. Let’s not forget the views from the top… absolutely breathtaking!!

Crowder Mountain Visitor Center is a fantastic location to take moderate to medium walks on their trails. We look forward to returning in the Spring to see all of the new foliage.Directly across the 4 way stop from the entrance to the visitor center is a parking lot that leads to the lake. It has a great level path that surrounds the lake. There were a few people fishing and taking in the great weather.

This is a great park to hike and it has a lot of rocks you will have to climb and traverse over. Its about 3 hours and you will reach a max alt. around 1601' but the view at the top is great. Go on a week day less crowded.

The park is well maintained, clean trails and facilities. The pinnacle trail has a steep elevation climb, it can be challenging for some. Overall I enjoy hiking here but it can often be very crowded. It's a quick drive from Charlotte.

My wife and I hiked the 2 mile out 2 mile back "Pinnacle" trail this morning. Nice trail, plenty of signage and trail markers, some rocks and such, fairly easy to maneuver; I'd give it an "easy" to slightly "moderate" in rating. The last .2 of a mile is kinda steep and a little more difficult.Nice view at the top...can even see the Charlotte, NC skyline in the distance. There were a ton of people on the trail today which made for not as enjoyable a hike for us. We did have lunch (we had packed) at the top. It was kinda windy and cool for a sunny February day.It is worth the time to hike if in the area but I've been on a lot more scenic hikes.

It offers a variety of world-class rides, including 13 roller coasters and attractions for all ages in Planet Snoopy. The park also features the Harbor Waterpark for summer fun and the new aviation-themed section called Aeronautica Landing with five immersive attractions.

It was horrible! Signs said 'SAVE TIME, BUY TICKETS ONLINE'. We did, stood in a 300 yard long line to be told the tickets were no good. We were told to get in another long line to correct the tickets. Got to the front of that line, only to be sent to ANOTHER LONG LINE! Almost everyone in line was having the same issue. It was madness! After all that, we just wanted to go home (hour and half away). My niece had no issue getting in...she said only 3 roller coasters were even open anyways! OVERALL BAD EXPERIENCE! Sorry

Family reunion time! We drove in from AK, TN, TX, and NC. The parking was easy and the entry in to the park was simple. Make sure you purchase tickets on line it will save you money and time. There were six of us and we had all different likes and excitement levels. Ages ranged from kid, adulting-teen, adult-with motion sickness issues, and mid-life crazy. 😄 the area was very clean and maintained. I rode nine roller coasters and by far my favorite was the Fury. We also visited the water park and found it equally fun and refreshing. The food was typical fair but it was good. Don’t bring cash, card is the preferred method. However if you do bring cash there are ATM-type machines that will convert you dollars to a card. I found the employees were generally pleasant and some were funny. The overall experience was memorable! I’ll be back if ever in the area again.

It's a good visit for families with kids and tons of fun!! Recommendation is to use a locker close to the water park, if you plan to go there since you can reuse it after you change.Get the kids measured for easy up the process of getting onto the rides.Check their website about how many tickets are sold and how crowded it might be. 40% is most likely no waiting time at all at most of the rides.

We enjoyed almost all the rides and they were tons of fun! A couple things the park can do to make this trip more enjoyable is to add more shaded areas in lines, as well as fans that blow fresh air to virtually every person/area in line. The heat/humidity was awful and waiting in the hot sun was unbearable, especially in lines where loose articles/extra items (i.e. hats, shades, umbrella) and backpacks were not allowed. I understand the summer heat in the Carolinas is always horrible, but it can be made comfortable for amusement park goers. In the meantime, recommend going in the spring or fall months, not in the summer ones.

Review: Scarowinds 2024Cast: 4/10Actors inside haunted houses showed promise, delivering occasional scares and eerie moments. However, scare zones were lacking, with actors seeming disengaged and chatting with each other instead of staying in character, which detracted from the overall experience.Costumes: 3/10Costumes were underwhelming, consisting of just shirts with bloodstains and few masks. While makeup was decent, it could have been more elaborate and creative to enhance the overall aesthetic.Customer Service/Organization: 2/10Poor customer service and organization were major issues. Staff seemed completely uninterested, showing no respect for visitors, and a lack of maps and signs led to confusion and frustration.Decorations/Sets: 5/10Outdoor sets were visually appealing, featuring creative designs and atmospheric lighting. However, indoor decorations were minimal, consisting of cheap materials and lacking imagination and detail.Entertainment: 10/10Scarowinds excelled in entertainment, offering a diverse range of rides, games, and shows that kept visitors engaged and enthralled, providing a fun and lively atmosphere.Scare Score: 3/10Unfortunately, we experienced few genuine scares due to a lack of actors in certain areas and poor character engagement. The scares that did occur were often predictable and lacked impact.Walk-through Time: 3 hoursCompleting all haunted houses took us three hours, a duration that felt overly long given the uneven quality.Overall: 4/10Overall Description: Scarowinds had some highlights, but poor organization, lackluster costumes, and insufficient scares held it back. Unfortunately, it seems that Scarowinds is stuck in a rut and is unlikely to improve without significant changes.

Had a great day (a long 10 hours for me) 95 degrees and no rain. We brought 4 kids that had a great time. Very little wait time, they rode several rides over and over because there was no line. Paid the extra for drink wrist bands but went back to the car to have lunch we brought in a cooler. About 6 hours on the rides and 3 hours in the water park. Still over $400 for a 1 day visit for 6 of us.

We have visited this amusement park on two separate times. My family and I really enjoy the park this time around. The water park was a lot of fun and then we visited Camp Snoopy which our children enjoyed throughly. Two complaints: there was hair and bandaids in the lazy river which made me want to jump out. Totally disgusting. Secondly, the bathrooms were unbearable especially the changing rooms on the harbor side. It was so wet and dirty. They should invest in attendants to monitor the changing/ bathrooms so that it’s hygienic. I didn’t have my phone in the water harbor to take pictures however I took pics of my kids in Camp Snoopy… they had a blast!

We go to Carowinds every year for Family Day with my husband's work. It is a really fun place!! I love walking around. For me the best part is, its not as huge as the famous amusement parks, its just right. My husbands work, rents the whole park for the day, so its not super crowded either. We are older now, empty nesters, so we go just us. There are roller coasters and rides for all ages. We do ride a few, coasters are not for me. The food is really good. There is a good variety to choose from. Lots of different games to play, fun things to do. There is a stage for live entertainment. Gift shops for souvenirs. They even have Starbucks! There is a huge water park inside as well. This year we had t-shirts made. They are great quality, get lots of compliments when we wear them. Great place for family fun and children of all ages. Lots of parking. They always take your photo when you walk in, you can purchase if you choose. Price is reasonable. The prices are a bit steep for certain things, but its like that everywhere now a days. So I enjoy going on the Family Day. If you have never been, I highly recommend. We will return next year on family day if they have it. They also do a Halloween themed thing in the fall. They do have a website to check prices and get yearly passes and purchase tickets in advance.

The wave pool was huge and offered lots of shaded seating. They have plenty of dining options and refreshment stations. I highly recommend the souvenir bottle option for free refills all day. Not to mention Carowinds has some of the top roller coasters in the country.

Came here on a Saturday around 1pm. to see the new Aquaman movie. Tickets were super cheap $6.50 even though the movie was after 12 pm. Theater is pretty big and spacious. They don't have a full food menu, just the normal popcorn, nachos, hot dogs, ice es, etc...the theater seating is auditorium seating, and there are no assigned seating. If you still like the thrill of getting there early and getting dibbs on the best seating, then this theater is for you. Never the less, it was not that busy, and we still had plenty of seats to choose from. All employees were super polite and friendly. I would definitely be back if I'm ever in the area. This is in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking to choose from. Also, there are a ton of great restaurants around, so if you want to get dinner before or after a movie, there are plenty of spots to choose from.

Be careful and always pay with cash. The girl at the box office charges 6 times of what’s the price of your 1 ticket. I asked for 1 ticket and payed with my debit card. I asked for a receipt and she then said oh I made a mistake I charged you for 6 tickets instead of 1. She said she’ll pay me the over charged amount back in cash. If I didn’t ask for a receipt I would’ve never known. She didn’t expect me to ask for a receipt. Most people don’t want it. This is unacceptable and I will not go back again.

Nice theater with all the new movies and plenty of times to choose from. Always clean inside. They even do a special price on Tuesdays which is nice. Typical arm and a leg for popcorn and drinks but that's normal for movie theaters. They also serve beer and wine.

I purchased 4 tickets and my total was suppose to be $42. I was charged $84. I get notifications as soon a transaction comes out of my account. I told the girl I’m sorry but you charged me twice and she said it’s our system and sometimes it does that you should receive your money back in a couple of days. The manager told me the same thing when I spoke with her! This is unacceptable and how do I even know if I will receive that money back! I will never return and if you are reading this review please pay with cash. I wish I would have read the other reviews before I came. If they know the system over chargers they should put signs up to notify their customers!

The picture and audio quality was good. The seats were well used and not very sturdy. The theatre looked like it would be nicer, but the seats were some of worst I've ever sat in.

This theater is close to home. They also offer a senior discount. Their seating is very comfortable

Long entry line, only one person as a cashier (on a Saturday night!). Popcorn is very good, drinks too. A little pricey but not a bad experience at all.

Awesome theater that's never too crowded. Nestled in a great shopping center with restaurants. The facility is always clean, and the ticket prices are good. Plenty to do around the theater before or after! Good seats, good picture, good sound quality.

We go occasionally but my son and his friends and his girlfriend go alot! I know that I can drop them off for a movie and either wait in the parking lot without being bothered or come and pick them up and they are safe.

The website is very buggy, if you buy tickets and it goes through multiple times you are out the fees they add. Managers should make customers aware of that and refund the correct payment method.

Went sat night at 930 to see twisters....power flickered and we lost video but not sound... wouldn't give us a. Refund BUT we came back nxt day, showed our receipt and got in for free theater and common areas were very clean and loved the seats

This place is amazing! Very clean, reasonable prices, and right in our own backyard (so to speak). It's great to have a great movie theater right here in town. #belocal

The first 25 minutes of the movie was fantastic until they had a power failure. No fault of there's but we didn't get to finish twisters. Heard about 25 minutes of audio lol.

TURN THE AC UP. Don’t come here unless you’re ready to sweat throughout the whole movie. I’ve watched movies here for years, but after this summer, no more. Every visit the theater was hot and sticky. It’s wrong to let it get that warm in this summer heat.

One of my favorites out of all the theaters in the area. Have been coming here since my now 22yr old was 8yrs old. Environment is amazing and plenty to get into outside of the theater.

Walking up, the outside is beautiful. The inside is laid out very nicely. Prices are decent, and theatre chairs are the most comfortable that I've ever been in.

Clean, affordable, and my family always has fun. The seating allows EVERYONE to be able to see the screen with the stadium style seating.

Saw inside out 2 on 6/23 11:15 show. As we were walking to theatre we passed 704 church where they had their door open and speakers outside of their theatre. It was highly annoying. I went to the restroom while my husband and child found seating. After I left the restroom I was followed by one of their door people all the way down the hallway because my husband had the ticket and I wasn’t sure what theater the movie was in (you can check your surveillance video) Will never go and catch the early time movies again. If I wanted to go to church I know plenty of places that don’t harass women.

Very nice and iconic looking in the outside and lobby. All is great! But... the seating and screens leave a lot to be desired. The selection is always lacking. The prices are the same as AMC, and the seats are not as good.Let's leave it like this: I live 3 minutes from Sun Valley 14, and after going to the movies here once... I decided to go to the closest AMC for my movies... 35 minutes away.Sorry, guys!

Always a treat coming out to Treetop Vineyards! Today we enjoyed live music on a sunny fall day sampling our favorite local white wine. The mood is always relaxed, and the staff is on point with their suggestions and assistance. We will highly recommend this little gem in Monroe, for any wine enthusiast in the Charlotte area 😊

I don’t consider myself a wine connoisseur but this vineyards wine is some of the worst I have ever tasted. The only good thing was getting a Groupon price for our party of four for the tasting, unfortunately the experience was truly underwhelming. All four of us were alarmed at how bad the wine was and none of us ended up purchasing bottles afterwards. If you have tasted decent wine before this place is a No Go!

Giving one star for the atmosphere!I’ve been here for many times, but today was something horrible! The wine is great, the view and atmosphere is amazing, but some stuff shouldn’t be there! Few months ago, like 4, we didn’t paid for kids, today we paid the same price for a 3YO like for an adult! Insane! And then, Miss Karen walked at our table and saw a kids water bottle and even didn’t smell it, just dumped it in the middle of the area where the kids played. So sad, was a good place for parents and kids, but is not anymore.

Beautiful winery on a lot of land with plenty of seating or can bring your own chair. I went for a special event they had going on, Winestock. Live music all day, free beer and wine samples and food drinks. It was a really great time to be had. The staff was awesome! So friendly and knowledgeable abt the wines. You can bring your own food in, but they have a lot of snacks and drinks you can purchase there if not. This place is great for a girls wkend, couples or even someone like myself who enjoys a solo adventure. Highly recommend.

I really hope someone sees this, I loved this winery.I have visited many times over the last 10 years. My most recent visit was Christmas Eve Day.My son planned a tasting for us and his wife's family. They booked 12 o'clock, were told to arrive 10 minutes early, the place isn't even open. The tasting hostess shuffles us in, sat us at 2 separate tables and then seemed to speed through the wine tasting. This was my least favorite visit, I understand keeping time and schedules but her manner made it very unpleasant.Signs posted no outside food, when you used to allow picnics, website still says you can,why did this change? This was a very negative experience. The tastings should be more laid back as they once were. Her attitude may have been about having to work at Christmas time, I just know we dropped over 300$ for a 30 minute rush through and rush us out. We had planned to bring lunch there. The property used to feel inviting, about love and family, not just profit .

Been visiting this place for first time, we had a nice picnic on the property, and after our group got smaller we switched to a tree house, last one need to be booked prior, it’s 50$. Capacity 10 people max. Entrance is free except if you want to join the event. Pets not allowed. They have a website with more information. Wine tasted great, they have jam and sauces to purchase as well.

My visit was spectacular. The staff is very friendly. They have a lot of different activities. The day I went was a Chili competition and a live band entertainment. We tasted all of their wines; loved them. It was my birthday, and we purchased 6 bottles plus other stuff. I highly recommend this place 👌.

Super cute place. We were looking for a venue to host a baby shower/surprise wedding and thankfully Treehouse Vineyards had availability. The price is absolutely reasonable and fair. Tables and table cloths were provided. We had ample time for set up and breakdown. Communication prior to was top notch as well as day of the event. The staff was so friendly and willing to help in any and every way possible to make sure our event was a success. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Surprisingly Wonderful! We had Friends visiting from Iowa in Charlotte, so we drove down to meet them on Sunday. We found only 2 vineyards in the area open on Sunday, so we drove past Dover and decided it wasn't for us and made a reservation for tasting at Treehouse! A beautiful drive to the vineyard, a wonderfully welcoming staff greeted us, and we were able to shop the lovely gift collection before our tasting. To our surprise, there was a beautiful Israeli history area attached with a lovely mock-up of the original tabernacle, dreidel collection, a lighted mock-up of Anne Frank House, and so much more! We said it was meant to be for us to come here! The wines are lovel. The tasting with the history of the vineyard, its family, and treehouse stories is delightful! You will not want to miss this💎 gem of a vineyard! Beautiful land and wines!

What a shame....really neat atmosphere and pretty lake with lots of seating. No pets allowed, not sure why they have plenty of seating all around to space people out. Went to order my wine inside and both ladies were rude and seemed like I was a bother to them. She poured the wrong wine and old us, "well I already poured it." Looked at us like we had no other option. Really a shame, if they had more welcoming staff, it would make a huge difference. Been wanting to come here for awhile but won't be back.

Our first time here. My Wife took me there for my birthday for a reserved wine 🍷 tasting. It was really nice and our hostess Mia was awesome. All of the staff that we came in contact with were great. So come in and support a local vineyard to do a wine tasting, their wines are so good. They even have 3 different tree houses that you can reserve to chill in with a 4th one coming soon. Too much to say about this place so I hope the pics will tell all I have to say. We will definitely be coming back to reserve one of the bigger treehouses.

My husband and I have been going to Treehouse Vineyards for years before our wedding. My father played music there, and we always thought it was a great little place to enjoy some time outdoors. We scheduled a meeting with them out of a sense of obligation just to check it out, but after the meeting, we were sold. Jen is one of the kindest people you will ever meet and was so helpful throughout the entire process. She answered emails very quickly and never made us feel like a customer but more of a partner. One of the most appealing aspects of Treehouse Vineyards is its affordability. The package we chose included not just the venue, but also charming cabins for the night, beautiful decorations, and well-set tables. It was a great value for the price, allowing us to have a dream wedding without breaking the bank. All in all, the venue can be one of the most important aspects of anyone's wedding. You will never go wrong with Treehouse Vineyards. A strong 10/10.

I was visiting family who know my love of fine vino and this is the winery they chose. It was fabulous! It was a Monday and, as expected, it wasn't busy. I would LOVE to return on a weekend when they have live entertainment. It's set up to be a great outdoor venue. It even has a tree house you can rent by the hour & hang out in while the band plays! The wine is EXCELLENT. We did a tasting...well worth itI I love sweet wine & most of their offerings were SWEET & PERFECT to me! The tasting was not just a tasting, it was a very interesting & entertaining story of the winery itself, & the owners. We actually got to meet the lovely lady in the parking lot as we were leaving. I purchased a few bottles; wish I got more. Got some cool souvenirs. I will visit again!
Adrienne H — Google review
The scenery was beautiful; however, the vineyard did not meet my expectations. While some staff members were kind and polite, others were quite unpleasant. Our group of seven ladies experienced an unfortunate incident when Karen yelled at us to take a glass away simply because she did not see the seventh member. This was blatant discrimination , and I and others ended up returning our glasses as her behavior was uncalled for. I would not recommend this winery, as there are many better options available that do not involve micro aggressions and unpleasant experiences. There was also a wedding getting ready to take place, so I did feel like our wine tasting was rushed. Please be cautious when considering a visit to this winery.

This is a great place to hang out with family and friends!1. It's off the beaten path. Get away from the busy city and enjoy the small town country farm feel.2. Pick your own apples (when in season). The kids always enjoy picking their own apples. It's like a little adventure.3. Donuts .... Need I say more. Apple cider donuts made onsite!3. Lots of apple flavored (and peach) beer or wine, cider, candy apples, etc.4. There are tons of picnic tables so you can enjoy yourself with your family and friends. There is even a covered picnic area if it's too sunny or starts to rain.5. There are lots of porta potties if you need a restroom.6. Hay rides $2.50!7. They accept credit cards or cash.8. There is plenty of parking. Don't be discouraged by the packed parking lot when you arrive. Follow the signs adjacent the building and you'll find a large parking area just past the apple orchard. Park and take the path thru the orchard back to the seating area.

Windy Hill Orchard and Cider Mill is a good spot for a fall afternoon. The food here is fantastic, with the donuts being a standout treat – fresh, hot, and just absolutely delicious. The food truck also offers a variety of tasty options that are sure to satisfy any craving. They were out of a lot when we got here. However, be prepared for a very long line at the bar. It can get quite busy, especially on weekends, so patience is key if you’re looking to enjoy their hard cider. Despite the wait, the atmosphere is wonderful, with a loud yet enjoyable vibe that makes the experience worth it.The shop is well-stocked with a variety of items, perfect for picking up some unique gifts or treats to take home. Parking is decent, though it can fill up quickly during peak times.Overall, Windy Hill Orchard & Cider Mill offers a great atmosphere, delicious food, and a great shop, making it a worthwhile visit despite the busy bar.

Such a cute orchard!! We drove about an hour to visit. The orchard is on the smaller side and you need reservations to apple pick🍎. We did not have reservations, but that did not stop us from getting their delicious hot donuts and a flight of cider. They also had live music and a bunch of tables to sit at. It was pretty crowded and seems like everyone was getting their cider flights. It’s also dog friendly so we brought our pup along. She had fun visiting other guests! Great day just enjoying the fresh air, listening to music and enjoying their goodies.

Awesome atmosphere, super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I learned a lot about apples and how they grow. Their doughnuts are so delicious and soft. Wide variety of cider. Plenty of picnic benches to sit and enjoy your cider and doughnuts. Just make sure you visit their website to reserve a spot for Apple picking.

Cute little spot if you just want to drink hard cider, eat apple donuts, etc. There is nothing to do but sit, eat, pick apples and drink. Of course apple season is now over so honestly this weekend the apples did not look the best and most were in the ground. This time of the year they should have been half off.The ladies behind bar seem to be in rush I didn’t know I could sample before ordering until my friends told me so I wasted money on flights I did not like.I visited but won’t have my group return. Then it’s in the country it’s an hour drive from all parts of Charlotte.

I love this place! I try to go here every fall. The donuts are just what the drive is forth alone. The prices are decent and the vibes are relaxing and chill. I always try to flight of beers, donuts and cider’ I wish there were more things to do around the area, but by the time you have your donuts and flight, it’s an hour or so. The place is kid and dog friendly, and have umbrellas for the outdoor tables now. I look forward to being back again next year.

What more can you ask for on a cool morning like this. Apples and more apples fixed different ways at Windy Hill. We came in to try the cider and donuts today. The sample cider flight had a variety of different flavors from sweet to fall spice perfect for this pre fall weather. They give you a nice size for $14.50, not bad for a feel-good feeling. Lol, I can't forget about those apple donuts, light and tasty dipped in cinnamon/sugar. Just right! I'm mad we only got a 6 pack they definitely did not make it to the car. I even had the urge to try the fried apple pie. Damn, it was good, too. Oh, yea, you can also pick apples for $7 a person, but you need rsvp beforehand. They stay booked up, so book today for a few weeks down the line. You can thank me later with a like. There is plenty of parking if you start your trip there soon as they open.

Nice apple orchard and guest area which includes fresh homemade donuts, cider, apple and other fruit butters and, of course, apples to purchase. There is a huge shelter with very nice long picnic tables and out door seating also. They also sell flights of hard cider for tasting; that was fun. Not much for kids to do there. The self pick 1/4 peck bags seemed a bit small although picking the apples was nice. Overall it was a great October day!

Fun place to apple pick and/or shop some fresh apple goodies from the shop. The fresh donuts are amazing! You must try them! Strollers will work but there are some thick gravel areas you may have some trouble pushing through if your stroller has small wheels. My running stroller worked great here. Tip for apple picking, definitely grab the picking tool so you can reach apples higher up.

A bit of a drive and the U-pick reservations were full, so we didn't get to go into the orchard, but we enjoyed our visit. They had live music, donuts, apple pies, cider slushies and hard cider flights. It's definitely worth the drive at least once.

Such a cool place! Delicious cider and apple desserts, friendly staff, and wonderful ambience! I came for their annual homebrew day and had a great time. Many of the negative reviews for Windy Hill point out a lack of activities for younger children, which is like being upset that your local brewery doesn't have a ball pit. This isn't an amusement park, it's a small farm and craft cidery, so set your expectations accordingly!

Such a cute family place to pick apples, enjoy cider and enjoy good screen free family fun! If you want to pick apples you have to go online and reserve a time and pay. Make sure you do that. You can enjoy everything else without a reservation. The cider slushy is amazing and the donuts, well… when you’re going back for your second dozen you know they’re amazing. Will definitely be back

We went to go apple picking, and forgot the reservation because the website was unclear. When we went up to the lady in front of the apple orchid, very condescending and disrespectful. Botanical garden
Nature & Parks
Glencairn Garden, located in Downtown Rock Hill, is a charming 11-acre park that originated as a private backyard garden in the late 1920s. It has since transformed into a stunning botanical garden featuring various plant species and hosting South Carolina's largest event, the annual Come-See-Festival. The garden boasts well-manicured lawns, picturesque walking paths, and an array of blooming flowers such as azaleas, camellias, and dogwoods.
Beautiful scenery and peaceful. Nice to walk around the paths. There are stationary benches and swing benches so you can sit and enjoy the garden or take a break from walking. I would definitely go back. There are many steps depending on which path you enter from so that’s something to keep in mind. There is a sign with where to enter for accessible needs.
JS — Google review
Lovely community park. It was a bit difficult to maneuver with stroller as there are steps and to find a ramp option took you further than we would initially look. Some features could benefit from pressure washing but everyone had a good time. Bathrooms are available at site, parking is free, and there are many metal bench swings. Although much is shaded, a towel was useful to drive off benches in AM and to sit on when they got hot in afternoon sun.

This place is a treasure.. an absolute TREASURE. And it's nestled in the heart of an urban area. The grounds are painstakingly kept, and there is plenty of wild area for wildlife to live. If you're lucky you'll see several turtles, or maybe a golden orb spider. There's art, plenty of shade, and it's spacious. So lucky to have this only 10 minutes away!

It is beautiful! The large fountains are well cared for. You will see turtles, birds, bumble bees and lizards when you go. Every walking path but one just leads back on itself so you can walk which ever direction you like. There are bathrooms and much of it is done well enough for wheel chair accessibility. They have e two posts for doggy bags, but better to bring your own. We will be going back. The picture and video I provide are from a GoPro Hero 9.

What a beautiful and well maintained garden! From the plants, shrubs and trees to the hardscapes and ponds - all are wonderful. The Veteran’s Memorial garden is such a wonderful tribute to those who have served our country. There are many different types of gardens in Glencairn including a shade, friendship, children’s and even a Victory garden that was recently started. Jessica and the crew who keep this garden in such great shape are amazing. Well worth the drive for my garden club from the Lake Norman area. We will be back.

Found a cool place in Rock Hill! We went to walk through Glencairn Garden and it's very beautiful and relaxing. They have a few ponds with fish and turtles with tons of lilypads and weeping willows, which was beautiful. They also had a very cool cascading fountain, which was very nice, with benches and seat swing to help you relax and enjoy the view. People were also lying out in the sun and having picnicks. The garden itself is a pretty good size and they have tons of different plants and flowers with walkways all the way through and around the garden. We also saw a very large bird but were unsure of what type of bird it was but was very cool nonetheless. They DO have restrooms towards the back of the garden and it is wheelchair accessible. They have a kids' garden, but it is under construction, but it sounds like it will be nice when it's finished. With all that being said, in one of the creeks we were walking by we heard a frog going crazy, and when we looked we saw a small copperhead snake so you have to watch your surroundings while going through some of the paths and trails!!!! Be Careful!! Overall it's a hidden gem that some people in Rockhill don't even know about and it's worth stopping and checking out.

We got married here in April and it was beautiful! We had to pay to have our wedding there. Which was fine but they charge you extra if you aren’t from Rock hill. Also it was prom season and everyone was taking pictures and didn’t have to pay but we did even though our wedding was small and Glencarin did nothing to help us. We just had people gathered. No chairs, signs or anything. I just felt ripped off. But the park is beautiful!

Fountain Park, located in Rock Hill's Old Town, is a popular community area featuring a large lawn and event space centered around a striking circular fountain with illuminated displays. The fountain is renowned for its captivating lights and sounds show, especially enchanting during the festive season. Once considered the "ugliest parking lot in Rock Hill," the park has undergone a remarkable transformation into a beloved attraction for both locals and visitors.
Beautiful park in Rock Hill, SC with a huge water fountain. Went to the Old Town market here. Market happens every Saturday until October 26, 2024 from 9am-2pm. Lots of free parking. Enjoyed looking around.

Really awesome around Christmas. Fun throughout year too. For walking, hanging and of course food truck fridays.

Such a mesmerizing fountain. Great clean place to walk around or sit & think! There was a nice Farmer's Market going on at the time of our visit. Such a bonus. Bought from a few of the vendors.

Beautiful place at night with all of the trees lit up surrounding it

Wow, this fountain is stunning. It was an unexpected surprise when we pulled off the interstate to check out the city of Rock Hill. The fountain had different patterns to go through. And I was surprised at the size and how far the water shot into the air. There was an amphitheatre and several benches around to be able to sit down. I believe I seen a drinking fountain as well. Would love to see this at nighttime.

The fountains put on a great show. I have passed by many times but never stopped. There are about 7 rows of water streams that make water dance, splash and raise to over 30 feet.

Beautiful park and the fountain display was great!! A must see place in Rock Hill to visit!! Of course it was not crowded on a weekday. There are free parking spots near the park.

Was just down at the park the the Team USA festival before the UCI BMX Worlds start next week and what a blast and show put on by SC. Amazing time kids loved it, food trucks everywhere. Amazing.

My family and I go on our early morning strolls here. The best time to visit will be in the early hours of the day. It gets packed on the weekend, but the fountain and the synchronization of the geysers are well worth going with family and friends. God bless.

We went to Fountain Park for Food Truck Friday. Festive atmosphere, live music, happy people, food trucks. We sat at an outdoor table and enjoyed our food while in sight of the lovely Fountain and listening to a great live band.

Went out to eat in downtown Rock Hill then walked down to the fountian with the grands. It was about dusk and the light reflecting off the fountian made for a beautiful show. I would rate this a gem for Rock Hiĺl

I take my dog for walks around the park and Main St several nights a week. We love how beautiful the fountain is at night. There's usually several people there, including families with young children. Very peaceful, and very safe.

The Alphabet Museum at JAARS

This was wonderful and informative. The volunteers are very sweet and helpful. They even have a treasure hunt for kids that kept it exciting for my 6 yr old.
Laura S — Google review
Very special place to visit with or without kids. Like most museums, it’s best to really take your time to read, get acquainted with and really absorb the history and culture that’s presented. It’s tough with kids because their attention span is limited, but I was impressed with this museum’s provision of a scavenger hunt to educate, entertain, and occupy them. It was well-thought out with a variety of “quests.” We hope to return for a school project in ancient Egypt. The kids loved it, and I would appreciate having more time reading through the exhibits. This is highly recommended!
Joyfully H — Google review
This museum is part of the JAARS complex which means the museum does have a leaning towards a biblical lens for their displays; however, I was pleasantly surprised at how culturally sensitive the exhibits were for the most part. While there is a lot of text, there is a cell phone your you can scan a QR code for, available wheelchairs and seating in most rooms, and some interactive elements for young people.Very nice volunteers and, if you time it right, there is also a museum with a history of the JAARS organization that is on a different schedule as well as a gift shop and cafe inside the JAARS main building which I didn't explore in detail.
Jessie C — Google review
This museum is very interesting. Learn about alphabets and cultures throughout the world with a bible undertone. The jaars organization works to translate the bible into all languages. What a great mission. The museum is great for kids of all ages. Suggest using the cell app to listen about exhibit.

Great museum with very interesting exhibits
Weston H — Google review
Definitely a great museum. Exhibits explained about the history, development and changes of many different alphabets going way back thousands of years ago to the present. The museum is run by a religious group that promotes the Bible so be aware. So much information it was a great learning experience.
Phred S — Google review
Free but appreciates donations. Self guided and way bigger than it looks from the outside. Had alphabets from all over the world and showed the history of languages. Had some interactive exhibits. 1st pic is my name in Egyptian hieroglyphs. Really enjoyed. Recommend!
A C — Google review
This little museum is a gem. So interesting. My mother visited from out of state and we decided to drop by. Ended up spending four hours learning about languages. What a delightful surprise!
Lauri B — Google review
So interesting & amazing displays. Very well laid out.
Melanie H — Google review
For me, (approaching age 70), the well thought out and highly descriptive exhibits were so much more impactful and fascinating than merely reading a book about the history of world languages. Speaking only for myself, it is quite a bit to try to absorb in one visit. I plan to return soon to undertake the remaining 50% of the museum where I stopped, as my brain reached maximum capacity for absorbing new information at one time!
Peter S — Google review
What a cool place! I learned a lot about languages and really appreciate the work they’re doing to translate the Bible into local languages around the world. Was fun for me, my mother in law, wife, and 4 year old.
Joseph P — Google review
A beautiful tribute to God through the trust and obedience of one man. A man that invited others to join in the journey and legacy that is Bible translation to the ends of the earth.
Irene — Google review
This place is incredible! Lots of information about language and alphabets from the beginning of recorded history. There was so much to see and learn that it’s impossible to take it all in on one visit. Will definitely be back to keep learning about the history of language and alphabets.
Erica G — Google review
A very cool exhibit that is great for kids and adults of all ages. The staff were very friendly, informative and helpful as we walked around. This place is educational but presented well and in an interesting manner. A great place for the curious.
Ross G — Google review
Love seeing places like this. So important to have a history of our languages and Bible translations. We did a self guided tour with 7 kids (Ages Infant to 13). The "scavenger hunt bags" helped keep the kids engaged. I'd love to come back without kids and spend more time learning.
Mike B — Google review
Very nice museum. Recent renovation, definitely a place to visit and the volunteers are a plus. I love to have more time and listen their stories too.

Andrew Jackson State Park is a park with historical significance in the area where Andrew Jackson grew up. The park provides visitors with a museum, educational programs, and opportunities for camping and fishing. It features walking trails that require some repairs as they appear to have been neglected over time. Despite this, it remains one of the most beautiful state parks to visit due to its peacefulness and cleanliness.
We did RV camping here and loved this small and quiet park and campground. It has a small loop with a few campsites right on the water. All campsites are in a wooded area. Dump station for RVs is also present. There is a museum to explore with lots of history, garden, outdoor theater, and hiking trails. The playground is located in a shaded area with lake views with shelters and restroom nearby. There is also boat/kayak/catamaran rentals available. Lived how close it is from Charlotte

This is a nice park combined with history. I only walked the circle with the museum and historic markers to include a large statue of young Andrew Jackson on a horse. I was going to walk one of the trails but it was getting late and my girls were so tired from the trip.

Andrew Jackson State Park is a small park with limited activities, yet it is still a nice and worthwhile visit. There is a small but informative museum on the history of Andrew Jackson, the park's namesake. A small one-room school house is also present along with a statue and several marker stones. There are several day-use shelters available for rent as well. They were busy and being used the weekend we were there with large gatherings. In the museum is a small store with a few souvenirs but no supplies. There is also a nice playground in a shaded grove that the kids enjoyed. There is a campground with 24 sites. The sites are small and relatively close together yet you still felt there was some privacy. We stayed in sites 21 and 23 and unfortunately it rained hard all night one evening and those sites are the low spots so we had rivers running thru the sites. The bathrooms were typical state park bathrooms but were relatively clean and close. The sites are small and I wouldn't advise a rig bigger than 30ft for most sites. The campground loop is very short and somewhat tight. Our 30 foot bumper pull was easy to get through but there is limited site parking for other than your tow vehicle. Water pressure was adequate if not a little low. There is a small lake very close to the campground that is very clear and very shallow. Swimming is NOT allowed, but you can kayak or rent pedal and flatbottom boats. There is also a nature trail that circles the lake but it was "closed" while we were there. You can actually walk about 90% of the trail, but there is a wetland area with a boardwalk and the boardwalk is falling apart which is what is closed. The campground is in the flight path for Charlotte airport so there are continual jets flying overhead and the park is also close to a highway so you hear traffic and emergency vehicle frequently. Cell service is acceptable with us having at least 2 bars of signal almost everywhere.

Another great state park! The museum is full of interesting information and interactive displays about Andrew Jackson and the time of his childhood. There are 2 trails that are both a mile long. The Crawford Trail has a large clearing with 3 or 4 picnic tables about 1/2 mile in, and there are benches all along the trails. The Garden Trail circles the lake and it is a little more than 1 mile long. It is definitely worth a visit.$3 Adults and $1 kids under 16.

We had an accessible spot that was anything but accessible, it was paved but had a slope more than 5% so setting up the camper was a problem, the restroom and showers were freezing because of the air conditioning and a step up into them and not in an accessible path. The museum was nice but they are so understaffed that you have to be there when they are in.

Pretty park, with a beautiful walkway around the pond. Older park, in need of updates but the restrooms were clean & the sites were pretty good. Only negative is the traffic noise - took away from the sounds of nature & true camping experience for me. I feel the pricing should reflect this and be reduced for this park. But we did feel safe and enjoyed all the walking/hiking areas and all the firefly's lightening up the night skies ☺️

Very clean, well maintained park with nice RV campsites. We camped in a 34' motorhome and had plenty of room. Park offers water and electric hookups at each site, along with a picnic table and firepit. Sites are nicely paved and level. Good bath/shower house available as well. Beautiful lake view from several sites. RV dump station onsite.

Hey y'all You know I tell the truth when I do my posting so here you go Andrew State Park SC is a great place family-oriented and very clean. Also a THEY ARE PET FRIENDLY, But of course your dog has to be on the leash and they really wish that it's small animals however if they're very friendly not a mean or you know animal that unruly It is a good clean Play tho go we loved it We had a great timethat is a plus plusI love the way we was able to get in our parking place so easy also we went down to the pier and we caught some fish first lake we've been to a while we caught some It was great The only bad experience we have is there's no dumping site at your site you have water hookup and power I understand how you know it cost for other stuff but they do have a dumping site so we had enough for 3 days in our tanks and best thing of all they have a lot of places to grill out You have a grill at your place It was very clean they came in every morning cleaned the restrooms and the shower rooms. I want to add there's also a restaurant it's kind of like a just a little grill they sell hot dogsn and barbecue. And some other things We got a hot dog and man let me tell you it was awesome I wish the knew the name of the grill but I'll find out when we go back next time it was great The food was awesome We were so tired when we got there we didn't want to cook out Mark look see if there's anything around that we could go to and get something quick and that place is only minutes down the road. I would just like to say too it's a great place to go We will go back thank you Andrew State Park

This was a very good campground. Our only complaint was the campground was a bit tight to get our 26’ trailer parked, and the site asphalt pads were not very level so we had to use every block of wood we could find to get the trailer level. Nevertheless, the park is nice with a small lake (no power boats, and they do have row boats and paddle boats for rent), a nice trail around the lake (maybe 1.5 miles), a great visitor center/museum with period surrounding buildings all about Andrew Jackson, and a nice outdoor amphitheater. Not our favorite SC State Park, but still a good one worthy of a visit!

We had such a fun time camping here! Between the museum, the hiking trail, and the playground there was so much fun stuff to do! I was really impressed at how well the bathroom facilities were maintained. Super clean! The playground area needs a little bit of maintenance but my kids didn't mind.

Nice park with shade and sun, some paths, a little lake, a playground, some covered picnic areas. Bathrooms pretty well maintained.

I don’t typically give reviews but I feel like future campers NEED to know a few things.i wish we had known. First of all, all the inner loop sites have hookups on the wrong side. We had a pull through (and the others as well) but were unable to use the awning seeing as the awning/door side of the camper was just a couple feet from the street. Unfortunately it rained half the day and we were stuck inside, couldn’t use the grill or enjoy the day outside thanks to the lack of awning coverage . The rest of the sites are pretty close together but if you get the ones lakeside you have a pretty view. The camp host was very nice but spent a good hour of our time jabbering on and on and on about park rules that we were already aware of. Maybe he just needed some company??? The park office hours are practically non existent so if you wanted or needed anything you had to run into the camp host. The store had souvenirs only - no necessities. There is no swimming allowed and the camp host was sure to tell me how he monitors the lake closely. The park itself is teeny next to others. We were able to bike the entire park in 10 minutes. There are two trails - a mile each so if you enjoy walking trails - they are not paved but not challenging- my dog loved it even tho we only got to do one thanks to rain. The Andrew Jackson museum was a nice way to hide from the heat for an hour - if you like history. The park is clean but we won’t come back.

Everyone is different. For me a small quite park is amazing. Sitting beside a small lake with the sun coming up with a hot cup of coffee is heaven. This park is a little tight to drive thru with my 30’ TT but most sites are angled nice so easy to back in.

Extraordinary! I had the best time! Everyone was so nice and friendly! Christina and Peanuts were great at reassuring me that everything would be okay. When I arrived and met my instructor Chuck, I immediately felt at ease. The respect and admiration his peers have for him gives you confidence, but the experience is even better. Gabe, the videographer was sweet, fun and delivered a memory that I will cherish forever. Overall, I can’t say enough about the place. Skydive Carolina is fantastic!

Had SUCH an amazing experience at Skydive Carolina today! From the moment we walked through the door everyone was so friendly and welcoming. My instructor Reese and videographer Cris were the best - super comforting and cracking jokes the whole time to distract from the nerves! Overall an unforgettable experience that felt very safe and organized. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone interested in skydiving, and I would definitely do it again!

I jumped twice for my birthday today. It’s wild thinking about it you climb into a very small plane. (Mind you I’m 6’4”) sit and get buckled in. The plane continues to climb for about 8-10 minutes you’re 14,000 feet up. Green light then door slams open and the wind punches you in the face. You get pushed forward towards the door then boom. You’re free falling 120 mph to the ground. Then the parachute gets pulled and I got to control. Flying left and right, then slowing down. My second jump we sat with our feet dangling for a good 10 seconds. I thought one of my shoes were gone and I made sure there were tied extra tight. I feel like a different person. My adrenaline is still going and I jumped at 9 and 11 this morning. I had the greatest time and will continue to talk about my experience until the day I will no longer be able to speak. Everybody was extremely nice and answered every question I had. My instructor Trent was amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

OMG! This was the best experience of my life! I am deathly afraid of heights. I think I lucked up and got the best tandem trainer ever! Peanut was absolutely the best! He talked me off the ledge lol he told me about every little step, every step of the way and put me at ease. He talk to me the entire time on the flight, encouraging me. By the time I got to the door, I was ready. I was not scared at all once I jumped.it was blissful I am going to do it again.

Great DZ with lots of amenities. The facility is clean with lots of room for packing. Packers are available for lazies like myself. The on-site cafe is pretty good and prices are very fair. The gear shop has all the basics and some clothing items. The landing area is absolutely huge with plenty of outs if you have to land off. It's an ideal spot for completing your aff and license. I was most pleased with the staff. They were all so friendly and helpful. I can't wait to come back for some more fun jumps! Thank you for making it a great experience!

I came to watch my daughter, Dara, make her first jump. She was in tandem with Cathy. What a great experience for everyone!! Cathy was so exuberant and fun but first a professional. She explained everything to us. She made sure we got pictures. She kept my daughter safe ... my first request. The facility and grounds were top-notch! I can't brag enough about the whole experience ... the organization, the communication between the different parts, the safety of the plane and equipment, the cleanliness, the people! It was a 10 star 🌟 experience.

We got the social media package, and it was worth every penny. The photos and videos are incredible and exude top notch work. Overall, this experience was a 10/10. Wow!! Today was my first ever jump and my instructor was AMAZING! Justin really deserves a raise. We had a little “hiccup” and he handled it like the pro he is! He was so much fun and really made my experience so much better. My photographer and videographer, Trish, was great as well! Her personality just made me smile, which made for great pics and video. Everything from checking in to the office to leaving was awesome. I definitely will be back but next time I will wear jeans. I totally recommend Skydive Carolina in Chester!

I’m so thankful that I had an opportunity to make time for this experience. Brian was phenomenal! I’m sure he didn’t realize how nervous I was, but he made the process enjoyable and worthwhile. He was consistent with understanding my level of comfort so much that I was brave enough to try a spin. I will definitely do this again! This was a peaceful, exciting, and moment of a lifetime type experience. Thank you for the amazing footage; I cannot stop watching it! This was my first skydiving experience. I literally watched close to 1k videos/articles on people’s first jump. You can say I was terrified up until I walked up and checked in. Was warmly greeted and the staff was so excited for me! A few minutes after walking to the hanger, I meet my tandem diving instructor Trent Nesmith. One amazing dude, he was cool, laid back and completely made me comfortable. Trent ensured I was well informed of the steps we would take.In the plane we went and off into the air! As we are about halfway to our altitude, he continued to mix great energy and conversation while providing additional instructions. Door opens and we slide to the opening…off we went! You don’t feel like your falling, your childhood dream of flying has come true! Trent pointed out areas like uptown Charlotte and kings mountain. The views were beautiful and I even got to steer. The landing was so smooth. Of course the had a discount for a second jump! I took it and cannot wait until my next jump! I felt so inspired and safe that it will be a lifelong memory. Thank you to the entire team! Made me feel alive again:-)

The most incredible experience of my entire life!! I couldn’t recommend skydive Carolina enough! I was greeted with such welcoming instructors in a clean, safe and organized environment. I have never been skydiving let alone been on a plan, everyone put my nerves at rest and the jump was truly incredible! My instructor was chuck, and the whole time he reassured me, and taught me everything I needed to know to make sure we made it back safely. If you’re thinking of skydiving I 100% recommend skydive Carolina, DO NOT WAIT AND BOOK THE RESERVATION, I promise you won’t regret it!

Absolutely amazing. Was a surprise 31st birthday gift from my BF and mom best birthday ever. First time and will definitely do it again and again. My tandem instructor Brian was absolutely amazing and my video photographer . If I return I’m hoping I can jump with them again.

Exhilarating & blissful at the same time. No words good enough to describe it. Holt was amazing and made sure I was in my comfort zone and letting me take in all the beauty in the sky. Adam did an amazinggggg job filming. First time in a plane & first time jumping out of one. Definitely going back!

Cannot say enough good things about Skydive Carolina, my tandem partner Trent, and my instructor Peanut! Any nerves I had before skydiving were quickly turned into excitement as both Trent and Peanut kept me laughing and well informed about exactly what I needed to do during the skydive. If you are considering skydiving at Skydive Carolina, definitely go for it and request Trent or Peanut to ensure you have an amazing, unforgettable experience!! :)

My instructor was Peanutt and he was amazing and talking me through my first time of skydiving for my birthday weekend shenanigans. His approach was very inviting and informative. My experience was great i definitely will be coming back for multiple flys ! Cristobal was my videographer and he made sure my excitement was captured greatly. Thank you so much guys!

I had my first jump today, with Trent, and it was totally amazing. I was excited and only slightly nervous leading up to the jump. Overall the experience exceeded my expectations.I will summarize the experience as this: lots of waiting, terrifying (but only for 2 seconds immediately after the jump), adrenaline rush for the rest of the free-fall, slightly nauseating, and pure bliss once the parachute was deployed. This was a gift from my father-in-law and I am forever grateful for the experience. We got the video/photo package and they are totally worth it!The operation was professional and Trent made me feel very relaxed the entire time. We flew through a cloud and even landed on our feet!I highly recommend Skydive Carolina for your first (or next) jump!

This place is really magical! A huge granite rock with cool mini pools with their own ecosystem. Some graffiti and a littleWaterfallWith a cave! Worth the visit !

Beautiful Day to get out and enjoy nature. If you plan on hiking past the stream below the rock know that the trail is t well marked and you will need to navigate with your phone back to your car through some rough trails that aren’t mark d at all and aren’t very well worn. Pack some extra water snacks and drop a pin where you park for ease of navigation back to the parking lot. I would suggest once you visit the rock and the stream below with the small wooden bridge to hike back up the rock and go back the way you came. Much easier than blazing your own trail. Wear long pants.

The beauty of this place is diminished by the graffiti. I just don't get it.Still, it's a nice hike and it has the feel of being in the mountains.
Lee G — Google review
I had never heard of this spot before, and I wanted to go and explore it. It is a beautiful drive out through the countryside to get to forty acre rock. Once you arrive, there is very little signage to help you find your way. Be sure to go to the website and download the map before you lose reception. The topography and terrain could be difficult for small children and people with limited mobility. But the wildlife and the flora are beautiful and well worth the trip. The rock is huge, and there are areas where graffiti is written. We hiked down into the canyon below the rock and then back up. It was difficult with knee injury so take frequent breaks and just go at your pace. We did see a snake on one trail near waterfall. Don't let your children or pets play through the brush.
C M — Google review
All in all it's a beautiful place. All though the trails are VERY poorly marked, we've been a few times and tried to find the waterfall and was only able to find it this time by listening and guessing..I would agree if that's where you're going you should wear some shoes with good traction it gets pretty steep in places.. I also really REALLY wish people would respect nature and stop spray painting everything. If you just must paint the very wonderful scenery please bring a canvas or sketch book..P.S the waterfall is off to the left a little ways from the main rocky area

40 Acre Rock is such an amazing place! I've been visiting it since the 80's as a child. While the spray paint & broken glass is unsightly, it truly is magical and absolutely worth a trip, if you're in the area. The hike in is about 3/4 of a mile, my best guess, and very level. Pine forest on each side with some oaks & juniper scattered in. It does get hot on the rock, so bring water! If you hike down towards the cave, prepare to make the steep climb back up! Use extreme faction if you enter the cave! Keep an eagle eye on youngsters too! Getting lost would be easy and up above the cave there's a pool that is slippery around the edges.

My 10-year old son and I just finished a 4 mile hike with 700-ft of elevation change. This place is one of our favorites for outdoor fun and intrigue. The boulder stacks are huge and the exploration offers something new and fascinating every time we come and, . . . we come often!

Almost like hiking in the mountains. Parts of the trail are pretty steep. Don't go just to see the waterfall. It is weak at best. No restrooms. It is pretty far from parking lot to the rock formation. There are lots of oaks, black walnut, and hickory trees.

Very nice place. Easy to navigate around, mostly clean!! Phone signal was pretty good!!

We drove down from Waxhaw for a quick hike with the kids. My boys are 5 & 7. The hike was pretty short, easy for the both (neither complained which is always a plus) and we all really enjoyed the unique flat rock once we got there. The drive from Waxhaw through the country was really nice. There were more trails and if they had been better marked we might have tried them along with the main hike. We read the reviews and knew that the markings weren’t great so that wasn’t a big deal. All in all, a very nice short hike, perfect walk/exercise for a hot day with two little kids.

Was a nice peaceful place, we started at 40 acre rocks enjoy the nice view and lovely breeze on a spring day. Used geocache to learn more about the geological feature. Next we went down to cry baby bridge which is a mile or 2 down the road. Overall was a fun and adventurous trip would recommend to anyone wanting a light hike to see some good views

Much more impressive in person. The rock extends to two hills separated by a valley. There is a trail that goes into the forest, although I don't know where it ends. Very scenic with surrounding hills. Worth a visit!
Wesley B — Google review
This place is mostly nice. The graffiti does take away from the natural beauty. My wife and I enjoy hiking. Some reviews fail to mention proper hiking attire is necessary. Bring water, and quality hiking boots. There are several opportunities to roll your ankles and lose traction. That being said I would recommend this place if you want to get out and see nature...unfortunately the falls were not running when we went on July 6th 2024. Maybe we entered from the wrong direction. We went in from the access road and down the exposed granite. It was very HOT, but enjoyable none the less. We did take our dog. She was able to navigate fine but I think it was too hot for her. We want to come back when the falls are running.
Robert R — Google review
If ya like a lot of walking and hiking this is for you me and the wife went there hoping to see a waterfall but didn't but the we couldn't go to far whit her condition but will go back when she is better to find the caves and waterfall. No bathrooms
Mark C — Google review
We really enjoyed this place. I'd say the 1.5 miles to the rock from the upper parking lot was less than one mile though. We thought the graffiti in the cave was pretty neat, but the stuff all over the random rocks was a bit sad. I'm sure that's not easy to get rid of. Walk from parking to the rock was real easy, then the trails to the falls was super steep. We loved it, as it was filled with a creek, some fun bridges and logs to walk over, and then the falls. A bit dry when we went, but my girls made the most of it anyways, and found a little pool above the falls to get wet in.
Kip B — Google review
Beautiful. Most definitely recommend for a day trip. We came late in summer, and most of the water pools have dried up. Still lots to see and bunch of really unique trees and plants in the area to view. Will be coming back, might wait and go in the spring when everything is full bloom.
Eddie L — Google review
Short easy hike to the top of the rock! Beautiful spot! You can hike around the base of the rock as well. Awesome biomes in the craters on top of the rock. Highly recommend. No restroom, no playground, just some beautiful nature in the middle of nowhere.
Ratched01 — Google review
Great place to hike and get away. It is in a remote location but Google Maps took us right to the parking lot. The parking lot is very small. You will come to the end of the road. You park there. There is a gate. Walk around gate and follow dirt road (easy walk) and you will come out right on the rock. If you don't want to hike trails or have much time you can explore on the rock. Pretty flowers and water in depressions ( some had dried up). If you do the trails, nice waterfalls, ferns, creek, very peaceful and shady. There are two loop trails. One circles rock area. The lower one leads to really pretty beaver pond. Well worth a visit!!

Had a blast Saturday! We’ve been coming here for 10 years or so, it’s always a good time. I love what y'all have done with the camp spots, and we’re so glad to see that y’all have brought the prices back down some. The trails were great, as always. Looking forward to another trip next month! Posted some pics from Saturday, And some favorites from past trips too. 😁

Were here now staying in a cabin which is amazing! It's clean, heat and ac works great, bed is comfy and mini fridge and microwave come in handy as well(we havent used the coffee pot but its nice one is in the cabin)! The bathroom in the cabin is perfect too! So nice to be able to enjoy the day riding and come back to shower and the cabin warm (it's in the 50's today so the heat is amazing). We enjoyed sitting by the fire behind our cabin and it was nice there were 2 rocking chairs and a picnic table by the fire pit. The staff have all been so friendly since getting here and antwan who runs the repair shop was so informative and nice. He explained they offer rentals if needed and what repair service they offer. We ate pizza for lunch at the restaurant and that was good! We drove 7 hours to get here and are staying until Sunday. We're already planning our next trip back! Everything is so organized and trails are well kept. The only thing my husband and I can suggest is better trail marking. The signs definitely need to be a little bigger or more visible. We purchased the onx offoad trail map and it is well worth the price! I saw reviews before we got here about the trails and cabins, but didn't find those reviews to be accurate thankfully. We also saw reviews about the price to ride etc, but we feel its well worth the price for whats offered here and how its maintained. We normally go to busco as it's only 3 hours from where we live, but we will definitely be driving the extra hours to come back here as well! Thanks CAW for making this vacation for us a blast 💗

We've been here a few times but never needed anything in the service center thankfully. This time we bummed a axle on our Maverick X3and had the opportunity to meet Mr.Shane in the service center. GREAT GUY. Definitely living by the pay it forward mentality. He's someone to get to know if you go to Carolina Adventure World. We all could use that motto in our lives. Help somebody if you can. Shane if you ever move to NC and want a Job come find us! Your definitely a great asset to have. Thanks for your help.

Had an absolute blast! We rented quads and rode for 6 hours. It was awesome! So many trails to ride. All kinds of terrain. Definitely worth the trip to go.
Adam S — Google review
I'm hoping this review helps a potential first-timer, like my friends and I were a few days ago. I will begin with the cons and then go into the pros:CONS1. If you're renting vehicles like we did, note that when they say you get a "Full Day Rental" on the website, they don't actually mean full day. They mean until 4pm, so if you show up like we did around noon expecting to ride until close at 8pm, you're in for an extremely disappointing surprise. You also of course need to fill out a ton of paperwork beforehand (not unexpected), as well as watch a safety video, etc. All of that ate up so much of our time, so despite our intention to ride for eight hours that day, we only got to ride for three. Kind of was a waste of the near-$1000 we spent to ride there.2. Be aware too that the rentals aren't good quality. They're beat up, worn out, and my ATV in particular sounded like it was going to explode whenever going too fast. Combined with the sound of constant raddles and whatnot that was going on around the engine, the entire time I was worried my ATV might break down and I'd be charged the repair fee.3. When we went to Carolina Adventure World, there were several trails that we couldn't go on since they were being repaired and restored. This wasn't an issue, but the map that we were given was horrible. We got lost multiple times and the markers on the trails themselves were too few and too far between. I read many reviews about this place before going that warned of these two things: A horrible map and poorly marked trails. Believe it. It's true.4. Don't buy the food from the restaurant. Bring your own. It's not that the food we had was bad, but rather it was just very poor quality for what you were paying for it.PROS1. You are going to have fun. Once you're on the trails, in the rocks, splashing through mud, or whatever, all your concerns will fade away. Going fast on the roads was great, dodging stones was awesome, and the experience was incredibly pleasing.2. Even though we rode for three hours, we didn't even get to see half of this place, it felt like. Carolina Adventure World is HUGE in scale and you'll be exploring it for hours. I admit, we ended up doing a few trails more than once due to the poor map (as mentioned above), but that's okay.3. We went on a weekday (Friday) and it was not crowded in the slightest. I genuinely think there were only six people there other than us. We only saw two while on the trails, so it was a really relaxing experience. I'm sure on the weekends though this place is crowded!4. The location is very easy to find and get to, located right off the highway. In conclusion, despite issues we all had a fantastic time. I just wish we could've stayed longer and didn't have to return the "Full Day" (lol) rentals half way through the day. You live and learn, I suppose. We will certainly be back soon!

Awful experience! The Yurts roof was falling in. They did not care. The bathroom had sewer piling up in the floor. It was unsanitary and they did not care much to fix it. The information that we got from calling was completely wrong from what they told us in person. We couldn’t do the security deposit for our cabin because of the miscommunication. On top of that, the lady working the counter was UNBELIEVABLY RUDE. She popped off with an attitude and continued to be rude. She was blonde and a little chunky and called herself the “manager.” Her behavior almost made us leave had we not paid to ride for that day already. Overall, riding is cool but the customer service and conditions of the bathrooms and Yurt ruined our stay. We will NOT be coming back.

Great place to ride, but need better signage on the trails. Trails of all types and difficulty. The staff were very nice and helpful. Katie was exceptional. A great asset for this establishment. I only have one negative. The bathrooms were dirty, the toilets were out of toilet paper and large paint pieces peeling off the walls. Would have given a 5 star review if bathrooms were attended too and better signage on trails.

We went out 4th of July weekend. Not to crowded at first but as the weekend grew closer so did the size of the crowds and the recklessness. Kind of alarming how many empty beer cans are out on the trails. The second night there someone was shot down by the creek. It has potential to be such a nice place but lots of drunk people out riding kind of takes fun out of it when you always have to have your guard up.A bit pricey to just to go ride.

This place is worth the trip. You can ride here all day and never ride the same trail. Restaurant with a bar on grounds and camping.

Rented 2 of the 4wheelers for a full day of riding and was not disappointed. We went on a Sunday. We had no problem getting helmets, eye protection and also boots. Only 5 trails that needed grooming were off limits. The machines were in pretty good shape. They were no more than 2 years old . My 4wheeler had some cracks in the front end from a previous rider but everything was recorded on the sheet before we left on the trails. I did loose a headlight due to the existing damage but the team acknowledged that it was not damaged by me-just a side effect of the original damage and was not charged. (honest people here- no one tried to nickel and dime me because of that)We were able to ride from 8:15 to 3:45 with a full tank of gas on the 500cc 4wheelers; perfect timing for the all day ride. Depending on how hard you push the machines you might need to refill, but gas is also available.Food was a little pricey but it was tasty and nice to have some options without having to head out of the park.I would highly recommend CAW - from renting to riding, this place is guaranteed to be a great experience for newcomers and veterans alike. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

CAW is always a favorite weekend trip for my family and I. During this trip, we rented the yurt. We knew there was not a bathroom/shower in the yurt and were fine with using the bath house… until we had to use the bath house. The bath house is absolutely disgusting and outdated. The women’s bath house was flooded with standing water and water running out of the bath house. Mud smeared all over the toilets and broken showers. Some of our party thought they were safer to not shower after riding all day than to step foot in the bath house showers. It really is time for a bath house upgrade with all that CAW has going on and the number of people visiting the park. If you need to use the bathroom during business hours, use the welcome center bathroom. It is kept clean. We did enjoy our time and the trails. Some of the trails were hard to follow with the signage and map but we could figure it out. We thoroughly appreciated the individual that washes and details the machines for an extra cost. They saved us A LOT of time and worth every penny.Overall, we love CAW and the trails, but it’s time for some major updating and upgrades.

Fun little park to ride. We (wife and I) paid for two days to ride in our CanAm X3. $121 is on the pricey side. First day we ate at the restaurant; I would advise to either get pizza or bring your own food which we did for day 2.

Our crew had been twice... we love it and it has the potential to have a 5 star review if the trails were better maintained. The easier trails are definitely not beginner safe. More like intermediate. It wouldn't take much to dozer some of the easier trails to fix the problem. And hang a few more signs for navigation.

This was a beautiful time of year to ride! The trees are starting to change color and when the leaves would fall I felt just like a princess.... but one that drives a sxs and is covered in mud! (Disney! Where you at on this???) The trails were well maintained and I was very happy with the family friendly atmosphere. I've been to CAW for day trips but this was the first time staying in our RV. The astroterf "lawn" at each site is brilliant! It rained one night but mud directly outside the camper entrance was not an issue. The only mud I had to truly manage was on our children who still don't see why I care! I will for sure make this an annual event to kick off our pleasure riding season! The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. I will forever cherish the memories and experience we had! Thank you CAW!!!

Riverside campground is lovely. All of the sites are wonderful but the sites on the lake are best. Nice, clean bath houses. Common area in middle with corn hole and horseshoes. All paved sites. Lake Wateree State Park is one of my favorite state parks to camp in. Taylor Creek campground has a nice bathhouse but the campground has no no trees and no privacy.

What an amazing park! There is so much to do and a great way to connect with nature. The park is only 45 minutes away from Columbia and about an hour from Charlotte. The campsites are all very well maintained with electric, water, sewer, etc. Ranger Russ is also always ready to help. I highly recommended visiting this park for a day or camping there if you want to get out to nature but still have modern conveniences available!

We only did a day trip there because we knew the lake level was down, and unfortunately, from what by the staff there is going to be down until sometime new year for repairs.

This was our 1st time going to lake wateree we stayed in the new area of the campground and it's a nice campground but you don't have much shade luckily it wasn't too hot. Out of all the campgrounds we've been to although it's nice if you like privacy then I would recommend the 1st area not the new section but they absolutely hands down have the best bathhouse I have ever used there's 7 separate bathroom and shower combo rooms with a door which was very nice.

It’s okay to many restrictions, like can’t ride golf cart after dark, quite time at 10. You know when your camping most of the time you want to be able to hang out and have a good time! Since there is not much to do at all other than ride you golf cart, bike, and scooter.

Peaceful and beautiful SC state park with great lake access. The Riverside campground had just enough shade to keep you cool.

Yet another great SC State Park on a lake!We camped here for 3 nights in late July. It’s the 2nd SC State Park we’ve camped at. They are very nice facilities and Lake Wateree is no exception. They have 2 campgrounds suitable for RVs or trailers. The largest campground has 72 sites all with water and electricity hookups but no sewer (there is a dump station). Many of the spots are on the water. The other campground has 28 spots with full hookups — but it is a newer campground so all the trees are small and there is no shade. None of the spots are on the water. The spots in the newer campground are also much closer to each other. So, when we go back, we will again stay in the older campground because of all the shade and a bit more privacy. There is also a nice boat ramp, and there are boat tie-down spots adjacent to some of the campsites. A beautiful spot for camping and boating!

Very nice campground. Need a boat though because there's little else to do. Nice staff. Well kept property. Blower guy is a bit overzealous. Ran that noisy thing for 2 hours this morning. Kinda kills the mood. I prefer peace and quiet in the morning not leaf blowing.

Great spot to camp, nice and clean facilities. The only downfall is the rare long visit campers. Typically, 1 or 2 older retirees that set up shop for multiple weeks (3-5)but are usually super friendly and respectful. IMO it takes away from the camping feel when there is a ton of baggage associated with the extended stayers! But still a great place to camp.

One of my favorite state parks. We stay in the original campground loop. It’s doesn’t have septic but my family enjoys being under the trees. Especially during the summer months. Our camping pad is over 100 foot long and built up so there is no standing water when it rains. Plenty of space to enjoy and relax. Picnic table area is on rocks. Our camp host and staff did a very good job and keeping the areas very clean.Very relaxing vacation!!

Great, clean campground and park. We stayed in the Taylor Creek campground and loved it! The bathhouse was heated and very clean with 7 individual bathrooms with showers. The Tackle Shop had everything you need for fishing, camping, etc. There's a great little food truck that comes out on the weekends that sells burgers, hotdogs, fries, onion rings, etc. The main campground was clean and had plenty of great sites. Great place foe kids and pets! Will definitely stay here again! Just be sure to get your groceries before arriving -- the closest big grocery store is 30 miles away.

Edited** A nice park for camping, boating, and swimming. The store has a great selection. Everything you need for a weekend at the lake. The nature trail is not great. It is well marked and flat with good views of the water. But compared to other park trails, it is just not that interesting. On our second trip here, it was not as crowded and much nicer than I remembered. The trail was longer, I think, or we just didn't go all the way to the water. The beach was covered in freshwater snail shells and raccoon paw prints. We saw a few turtles and some herons. The trail does have a lot of roots crossing it. But otherwise pretty flat.

Love the Riverside Campground - 72 long sites. Many have lake views. Water & power in the Riverside CG. FHU in the creek side area (but those sites are kind of out in the open & closer together). Book trade at the day use area. Pleasant staff & clean. We’ve stayed here 3 times.

On our first visit to this state park today, we have fallen in love with it. So many positives to include spacious camp sites, clean restrooms, stocked shop with plenty of emergency supplies, easy and well maintained hiking trails (which is what we did), easy load boat ramp, and more. Local & county history museum displaying native American artifacts & genealogical records.
This is a hidden gem in the center of Camden. People overlook the words and Museum. The museum is small but has a lot of interesting artifacts you will not otherwise see or know about. The City has a great history that is more than the Battle of Camden. Take a few minutes to walk through this small but awesome place and you won't be disappointed.

Small but absolutely delightful museum and archive. The collection is set is a beautiful historic building in a nice older district. I found the staff on duty super helpful and really informative and they showed a genuine enthusiasm and excitement for the history of Camden and Kershaw County.

Very nice collection of artifacts from the Camden battlefield, as well as an extensive collection of guns donated by Ross Beard. Staff was friendly and helpful.

You've got to go at least once . This place is full of rich history about our oldest inland City. Honestly I feel like there's enough history here in Camden alone to fill a facility four times it's size . Stop in take some time and dig in . You'll be glad you did.

Interesting little free museum with a friendly staff. Not crowded at all. A few cases of antique firearms, some local artifacts, and a nice display about the revolutionary war.

Amazing firearms exhibit beautifully displayed. They have some truly unique weapons, and they provide you with a booklet that explains what each item is. Worth an hour of your time if you're into history or firearms.

By far the best historic place of preservation in Camden. Everything is organized, well-explained, and I felt appreciated for being there. The passion for preserving the history of the revolution and things in their collection is very clear and much appreciated. I wish I could have spent longer here.

Museum charting the Revolutionary War & colonial era in an 18th-century mansion on an old estate.
Fun place to visit. Only bring small dogs. They are not nice about large dogs. They say you can bring dogs, but they only like small dogs. Informative museum and interesting history of the area and Revolutionary War.

Excellent recreation/ restoration of pre-revolutionary war America. We lucked out and met a historian from the project who explained some very neat facts about the buildings, the grounds, the project timeline and scope… lots of great stuff happening here. Wonderful walk around the grounds — I particularly liked the redoubts.

I enjoyed a lovely evening at Historic Camden’s Jollification event on Dec 3. The 1800 little building was cozy with decor, candles, and live, period music. A variety of drinks were available, both with alcohol and without and enjoyed at a wonderful table while playing old timey board games. One hour is sufficient time spent at this event. I’ll be back!

This site is wonderful. The buildings are immaculate. The history displays are so informative and family friendly. The life-like statues are so incredibly artistic. We appreciated the full history of the area including women, and indigenous people of the time. They have an extensive list of activities most every weekend. We were driving by and decided to stop. We will be back again with more planning ahead of time to enjoy more of what this historical society has to offer.Very family friendly with tons of photo ops, picnic areas, living history and much more.

I love getting to visit this historic site. The Revolutionary War played such an integral role in American history, and it’s wonderful to be able to visit a site where part of this history took place. They have made a number of nice changes to the site, it is well-maintained, and the gift shop is really nice. I would certainly recommend visiting went in the area.

A growing Historic Site with late 18th/early 19th Century structures, reconstructed period buildings, and recreations of period buildings near the site of Camden, SC during the American Revolution. The staff and your guides are friendly and knowledgeable, pay extra for the guided tour.

Due to an upcoming event, most parts were not accessible. However, very knowledgeable staff gave us a lot of information about the site and we enjoyed exploring what we could. We will definitely be back.

I love this place! We stopped here on the way to visit friends. I am so glad we did. We arrived on the perfect day. The second Saturday of every month they have a reenactment. The volunteers dress in period costume and demonstrate many aspects of life in the time period. George Washington makes an appearance and I think there is a parade. We had a wonderful time and learned a lot. I would recommend this stop for anyone of any age.

Self-guided adult tickets $10 USD each. Buildings from the 1700's to 1800's. Docent said piano in 1st pic dates from 1795-1805. Liked the ability to explore on our own. Had fun!

Neat little site with replica fortifications and some Colonial era buildings. The self guided tour was $10 for adults and took us about an hour to go through everything.Easy walking trails and beautiful grounds: a nice place to spend this bright and sunny Saturday afternoon.

A great place to learn about the history of our town and the Revolutionary War. There are lots of events/activities that go on here every month. They have house tours, lantern tours, tea parties, craft classes, and demonstrations happening all the time.We come and walk the grounds and the nature trail alot. The trail is short and flat, but if it has rained it will be muddy in places. It runs along the Pine Tree Creek.

Had a wonderful time listening to the recordings in the museum and learning of Camdens role. The staff was very friendly and informative. Had small children with me and they also enjoyed it, especially the search and find animals. Plus it was free.

Great informative and interesting time visiting the historical village of Camden. Highly recommend that you do it with the guide as you learn so much more about it than just doing it alone. Takes about 60-120m so not a quick stop but worth it overall. Super nice people in a great American town.

Stopped here to check out the battlefield in Camden. There are several historic buildings you can tour and some reconstructed fortifications that were part of cornwallis's headquarters during the southern campaign in and around Camden. Tickets can be purchased at the gift shop to tour the buildings. I spent a couple hours wandering around the site. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and I enjoyed my time here.

Great historic site! They are working at some new buildings so there is more to come. The unguided tour is ok, but the guided one is better, getting in all the houses and hearing all those llittle stories. Davie does a very good job, explaining everything to us. We had a great time there.

The Columbia Museum of Art, situated in downtown, showcases a diverse collection of art from various cultures and time periods. The museum's contemporary building houses an extensive array of paintings and sculptures that span thousands of years. One notable exhibition is "Seeing Ourselves: Masterpieces of American Photography from the George Eastman House Collection," featuring 155 significant works that highlight the impact of photography on American life over the past century and a half.
A wonderfully curated museum with plenty of helpful and knowledgeable staff. The bottom floor features rotating galleries while the top floor houses the permanent pieces. The open floor plan along with the provided map makes transitioning from the different themes easy. Overall a very enjoyable experience and will definitely be going back.

This is a nice, small museum that houses visiting exhibits and a permanent collection. The visiting exhibit we saw (from Monet to Matisse) was lovely. The permanent collection is eclectic, but has some gems. The museum itself is light and spacious. Definitely worth a visit.

I unfortunately was unable to view everything due to an unexpected emergency, but will definitely be back soon to complete my tour. I believe they have different pricing days so be sure to check their website for details and upcoming events. The Sergio Hudson collection was absolutely stunning!!

$15 USD per adult for non-South Carolina residents. Museum is very large with 2 floors and 20 galleries to walk through. Enjoyed!

We checked out a free adventure pass to visit from the Lexington Public Library. I wished that the paper map and the galleries themselves had more explanation of their organization of the pieces. Some rooms seem disjointed as to which piece was next to another (stylistically, time period, etc.)

If you're looking for an atmospheric stroll through centuries of art and art history, this is the place. The exhibits are thoughtfully planned and curated, each gallery bleeding perfectly into the next. They have art and relics through the ages, everything from photography and paintings to pottery and glasswork. The staff is awesomely kind and love what they work around, and it shows! The entrance fee is affordable, and they're always having awe-inspiring events. These photos are from their Blossom Exhibition, where they had local florists come in, choose a piece that spoke to them, and make an arrangement to accompany it. They also had a tea party with pastries and crafts, it was beyond fun!

Wonderful museum with a wide range of American and European art displayed thematically. Several very nice exhibits as well as a nice activity area for children of all ages.

I had a wonderful time because they have such a extensive group of displays and items from their own collection. African American art and traditional American art and there was some civil rights and related items. There was a wonderful spectacular piece by Severin Roesen. I thoroughly enjoyed touring the galleries. I didn't get to see everything so I'm going to have to go back again.

The South Carolina State House is a grand building that houses the state's House, Senate, and Governor's office. Visitors can enjoy free guided or self-guided tours from Monday to Friday to learn about the history of South Carolina. The grounds are surrounded by lush greenery and visitors can spot six bronze stars marking where Union forces damaged the walls during the Civil War. One unique feature is the false dome in the main lobby covered by an outer dome made of copper, visible from outside.
My first time visiting and I enjoyed walking the grounds of the SC State House. The staff on-site were very friendly and informative. I wish I could of stayed to explore more, but it was a hot day.. and my children were not very thrilled to be walking around in the heat. We will be back though once the weather cools down a bit.

This statehouse was beautiful from the outside. However I was disappointed that it wasn't open for self guided tours on the Sunday that I was passing through. Regardless, toured the grounds and checked out all of the statues there. Enjoyed the design of the dome. It was very different than most. I'll put this on my list of visited capitals but unseen from the inside.

Even though the interior was mostly closed, the outside of this state capitol building is one of the best I have seen. Highly recommend.

Highlight of my Columbia visit. Awesome grounds very well kept. Nice statuary and interesting stories about origins and age of trees planted. The capital building itself had great architecture and artwork. Stained glass windows were awesome pictures cant do justice. Lawmakers were not in session so we could look anywhere there wasn't a locked door. Well worth visit. Don,t bring any knives, guard took my swiss army and held it at guard station til done looking around, nice polite man too.

Definitely recommend a stop here. There is also a parking garage near by and a short walk to the main street area as well. We spent a solid hour just outside walking around the grounds. Very beautiful building and interesting history here. Lots of it. The stairs and view outside is worth going to view alone. When facing the building from main street the original building was a little to the right until it was burnt down in a war. The city was great to view and enjoy for the bringing in of the new year. The fireworks were great and wonderful to watch from the middle of main street and the oldest streets in the city.

Visited the State House on Saturday after visiting the Soda City Market a block away. The security guard was very friendly & courteous. We removed our personal belongings to be x-rayed & walked through the metal detector without issue. We did not take the free tour, but wandered around on our own. 3 floors & not all rooms are open. There’s a gift shop on exit. Make sure you walk around the grounds outside. Very nice state house.

This was an amazing experience!! There are so many historical things to see and experience! Shout out to all the amazing tour guides who do an amazing job showing us around the state house. I hope you can go and experience this too!

The grounds of the State House and the building itself are worth a visit. Both are impressive and filled with history, but we really like walking around the grounds. There is a scavenger hunt sheet and map on their website that can be downloaded, and it is filled with interesting facts about the monuments and gardens. There is a lot to see here. If you visit on the weekends, there are usually parking spaces on Sumter Street right next to the grounds available.

The statues and the plaques around the Capitol are rich in South Carolina history. I would set aside an hour to take in everything in the gardens, more to take in what's inside.

Exquisite architecture, paintings, history and workmanship at this state house. Beautiful grounds. Statues and monuments outside. Inside there is a very nice gift shop. You can take a guided tour or if you have watched the interesting and detailed video on the dot gov site, you will have gotten a good background on the state house, so that you can tour yourself with a sufficient understanding of the place.

Beautiful state house - arrived too late to get to see the inside on this trip although I’ve been in previously. Can spend a solid hour looking at the various monuments and beautiful landscaping surrounding the building. Kids loved running up and down the steps.

The state house is open for the public. You can enter from the left side of the building just go through the security check. There is guided tour or you can just go around with the pamphlet. Great location to see a concert or basketball game. Last trip was for a concert to see Elton John and it was fantastic. Easy parking close by making it an easy walk to and from. Arena is laid out to be able to find your seats with no problems.

Attended the Reba concert here, the concert was fantastic. The venue was good. The seats were comfortable. Lines to get in, order concessions, and for the bathroom were very long and moved slowly but this was expected. Parking was decently close to the venue, affordably priced and clearly marked.

The Eagles put on a spectacular show at the Colonial Life Centre on Thursday night. The band played a three-hour set that included all of their biggest hits, from "Hotel California" and "Take It Easy" to "Lyin' Eyes" and "Desperado." The crowd was on their feet the entire time, singing along and dancing to the music. The band's sound was incredible. They sounded just as good live as they do on their albums. The vocals were perfect, the harmonies were tight, and the instrumentals were spot-on. The band also put on a great visual show. The stage was set up with a large screen that displayed images and videos that complemented the music. The Eagles are a legendary band, and they showed why they are still one of the biggest bands in the world. They put on a show that was both musically and visually stunning. If you have the chance to see them live, I highly recommend it.

Went to see Jeff Dunham tonight. My first time using digital tickets to get into a venue. The staff was very helpful and patient. The snack areas were fully staffed and it seemed everything was running smoothly. after the show getting out from floor seats was a little slow. But then again everyone was leaving at once. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. The show itself was excellent. Had good seats, a good view, and the sound was great. I haven't laughed that much I'm a long time. Would definitely go to another event here.

We ended up going there on back to back nights. The first night, we saw Jeff Dunham. The second night, we attended WWE Smackdown. The first night went smoothly. We did not have to wait too long at the merchandise or concessions lines. The second night was an absolute nightmare. They opened the doors late, and there was not enough time between the time the doors opened and the event starting to make it through both lines. They were not adequately staffed the second night for the amount of people that attended the show. Both shows were fabulous! They just need to work on their staffing a little for the larger shows.
Talmadge T — Google review
Not handicapped friendly. I went to a concert with my sister who has Cerebral Palsy & walks with a walker. They claimed the elevator stopped working right as the show ended, & were rudely told we could walk back halfway down the track to a ramp. So my sister as well as a quadriplegic young lady had to be hand carried down 15-20 steps. It took away from our great concert experience. Will not be returning.

I love this venue! The staff is always super nice and helpful and they also make sure to handle any issues accordingly. I saw Ariana Grande here in 2019 and just recently came back for the Jonas Brothers show in October 2023. Super fun and energetic show! Had a great time and can’t wait to come back for future shows.

Went for Sexyy Red. They had a lot of hiccups (Bossman D Low didn't show up & it seemed like no one knew what was happening). Some performers didn't know their lyrics & Jeezy looked like he wanted to leave ASAP. 1K was energetic and deserved a longer set. Method Man's daughter, Chey was 🔥🔥.

I just had a reminder from my memories that I took my dad to this venue for a gospel concert for Father's Day last year. Even without having floor seats, we had good views. Featured artists were Kelontae Gavin, Jekalyn Carr, Yolanda Adams, and Tye Tribbett. Finding a place to park wasn't too bad.

This was my first visit to the arena for a USC basketball showcase event. Very easy to park and walk to the arena. Make sure to bring a clear bag/purse for anything you want to bring as you enter through security. Very easy to get around once inside and plenty of food and restrooms. Any seat in the arena really would be good seats in my opinion. A fun night and hope to be back for another event!

My fiance took me here on a surprise date night to see the Jeff Dunham show. It was a total surprise and I did not realize who we were going to see until we were walking down to our seats and saw it on the big screen. All the people that work there were very friendly and helpful. We had excellent seats on the 2nd floor and on the 8th row and can still see the show very clearly. We have already purchased tickets to see Jelly Roll for my birthday in November and cannot wait to attend this concert. I'm sure it's going to be a great one!! I definitely give this arena 5 stars 🤩
Vicki H — Google review
Really enjoyed seeing the Lady Gamecocks play today and continue their undefeated streak. Comfortable arena with a great selection of food and drink options. The only downside is that if you are sitting in the top 5-8 rows it’s like you are in a different arena. There are no speakers pointed in your direction so you can’t hear the PA announcer that well. Other than that it’s a great place to come to an event.Came back for graduation a few months later and got to see #dawnstaley make a cameo appearance to support one of her graduating players.

Always a great time! Staff are all helpful and kind. Restrooms relatively clean for packed shows. Lines are rarely a long wait for canteen etc. Also, I have food sensitivities and the girl that helped me was AWESOME about it!

Went to see Katt Williams. The seating is confusing, and we followed the signs and were still in the wrong area 4 times because of how we needed to access the seats. Close to parking deck, though, and I was happy about that. 11,000 seats all sold out, and we had a great time. We sat in upper back directly in front of the stage, not bad seating, but it would be nice if the screens they had were larger.

We went here for Cheerleading state championships and it was phenomenal. The arena is super clean and staff is friendly and great. Plenty of seating as well as restrooms and a good verity of food places. The only downfall to this arena is there was no cup holders so it made it a little challenging with the children and drinks.

We’ve attended many events at this establishment. From music concerts, to graduations. Every year we attend the monster trucks. Our first time attending not gonna lie, we were a little iffy about the space provided but also pleasantly surprised that it was a good show and all-around good entertainment. The kids loved it they weren’t scared, it was a little loud, but they do offer headphones obviously you have to pay for them. the live dinosaurs we just attended. The little bit of show that I did get to watch, was very entertaining. You were up close and personal with “ live dinosaurs”. My four-year-old (who I thought was gonna be a paleontologist one day since he can name all the dinosaurs) was terrified of the trex so we only got to watch a few minutes of the show before we had to walk out but my older son (13 yo) loved it he said it was the best, and he would love to see it again, as would I 😆 We will continue attending sport’s events and live entertainment as it’s a great time for the entire family!

It's an ideal spot for picnics, bike rides, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.
Just passed through whilst visiting Columbia, and I was quite impressed. The trees were outstanding and tall, the buildings were old but still looked good, and there was a fairly distinctive campus feel despite being in a rather large city. The palmettos make the campus much nicer and southern-feeling, and the various live oaks around campus give a very “Old South” feel. Cannot attest to the academics, though I did see a lot of “frat boy-types” and wondered if this school has that type of culture. The few people I chatted with were very nice and welcoming, and I would recommend visit the McKissick Museum or other places around here to get a sense of the culture and history of the school. G(oh) Cocks! Cheers.

Quiet and good place to focus on your school away from other busy cities. There are great teachers who are willing to help you if you ask. A lot services are provided by the school to help students with their school and social work. It get boring sometimes because it is a small city but overall there are a lot of activities to do

Got a degree in 2019 via the “Palmetto College.” Life appeared good. The covid mess shut down everything as I started looking for jobs! Still having hope in my college degree, I started to look for jobs after the extreme covid mess calmed down…no jobs hire college students now. I went to school for nothing!!! I even called to see if the Palmetto College degree even had value, to see if I actually had a degree. So now I owe money on garbage, college landfill garbage. I am academically advanced to flip burgers. Don’t go to college. Don’t. USC has no regard for graduates. Handshake? Garbage. Don’t offer regional campuses when the regions don’t even network with regional area jobs. I am #!%~ing mad! I regret my years in college. I could have rotted without my degree and degree debt. Oh, and don’t expect to afford payments on 10 dollars hourly. So, anyone stay away!!!!! Don’t go. What an absolute shame!!!!

Seems like there's a lot of hidden fees that are not disclosed to the students. All the students are fairly young. And they don't know what it's like to deal with bills and It's all left upon the parents. It seems like everybody working.are not on the same page. They also made up a story about the fafsa, not being available to them, but they certainly know how to charge you, even upload a transcript.

Couldn’t be more disappointed to a university which sent an offer message, and as late as two days afterwards told me that it was a “clerical error.” Even worse, after the declination, the migration office sent me messages of congratulations and guidance on how to get a VISA in order to study there. Wow, what an unforgettable series of nightmares!

L, this university is filled with Mold. I couldn’t focus with the train horns always going off. Some professors like to manipulate our thinking into being in a “I’m poor” mindset. One professor was so old and skinny and he chucked a white board eraser across the room when a student asked a ‘boring’ question. They also don’t put enough care into engineering students: how are engineering students supposed to maintain a certain gpa within a scholar program in which people could take other easier majors and have it easy until later in life. But to just exist here it felt like 20 years in the past. Everything is old. The way things run are outdated and don’t make sense. About half the buildings and student housing need to be condemned. The city is a disaster of a mess. Parking is impossible when the whole city has to park somewhere too. I don’t have any hopes for this university succeeding in creating future students of America.

Fantastic campus setting. First time visit and was impressed with the architecture and upkeep of the entire area. It will be a great 1st year experience for my son.

My wife and I are early 70's graduates 🎓 from Carolina. Today we observed the 55 anniversary of my proposal which took place in the fountain garden adjacent to the Administration Building ... walking around the Horseshoe was a pleasant trip down memory lane.

I would never attend this bigoted institution nor would I ever allow a friend or family member attend without protest. History will show your record of racism and discrimination

Noelle Ziggy continues to use homophobic slurs when seeing me. due to being bound to a wheelchair and having red hair, she likes to point at me and scream "Hot Wheels" infront of everyone.

It's definitely a Beautiful place, GORGEOUS campus, with loyal faculty, staff, professors, teachers, administrators, security, coaches, players, and a host of students with smiling faces everywhere. One of the biggest school in the state of South Carolina and most definitely one of my favorite schools.
